Upon their return to Collinwood, Millicent tells Naomi she wants to discuss Barnabas with Cousin Joshua, his brutal attack on her, his note, and his strangling her with his cane. Absurd, says Naomi. Millicent insists she must make a "gesture" to Forbes for saving her life, but Naomi thinks it best that she not see him again, let him go, start a new life.

And as a side note, this quote was supposed to appear on August 9th but I accidentally posted the quote from Ep #435, which was supposed to appear yesterday. Who knows how/why I jumped ahead because I've never done that before. I suppose I was distracted that day by other things. However, I've since fixed things and the next time the slideshow plays through they will both appear on their originally intended day.

She goes upstairs.  Mr. Gladstone, I don't think it necessary for you to come all the way from Boston for this, says Cyrus. True, agrees Horace, but I was so very interested in meeting the man who is working with this--he holds up the package in his hand--particularly that chemical synthesis. If it's my credentials you're concerned about, says Cyrus, they're quite readily available. No, says Gladstone, I may not be as active as I used to be in the fields of chemistry and science, but I always retained a particular interest in the possibilities of this synthesis--its inclusion in your work aroused my curiosity, especially as to the aims of the experiment.  I'm sorry, says Cyrus, I don't discuss my work with anyone.

And this is the third quote from this ep. The first (Quentin - 'You MUST stay. You have to. It would mean very much to Daniel') was back on April 21st of 2024, and the second (Cyrus - 'Well, I, I guess you know how I feel about you, but now, now one thing I must warn you, Sabrina. Now you're, you're very aware of my work habits?') was back on April 11th.

Daphne, fallen very ill again, calls to Bramwell.  I'm here, he assures her.  I'm so glad you came in time, she says, gasping for breath--there are things I must say before I go.  I won't let you go, he insists, holding her hand.  No, she says, not even your love can make me stay--it seems I only came back for a visit--now I've got to go back to the darkness forever.  No, Daphne, no! he protests.  I'm not afraid, she assures him--darkness is comforting--and you must find comfort, too, without me.  I don't want anything without you, he insists.  Bramwell, she says, you say that now--but in time, you will want Catherine.  He looks down.

The Robservations leaves out bits of the quote but, once again, it gets the quote well...

And this is the second quote from this ep. The first (Daphne - 'You're the two people in the world I love the most...and you must...comfort each other'), which also comes from this same scene, was back on April 28th of 2023.

And Daphne does indeed say that there are things she "must" say before she goes, so that could very easily appear in some future installment of the slideshow.
