I agree that trailers don't tell you alot, that's why I included word from fans that I respect, at least I think I did. If the trailers look bad and I come here Saturday after the first showings and fans are upset about how bad the movie is, I won't be going. I will see the movie but I see no reason to spend 2 hours and $35.00 ( imax ) to see a movie that by all accounts is bad. Again, I hope it isn't.

These days it only takes a couple of months to see the video, I can wait that long.

That is my favorite Julia hair!  

And since they are setting this story near the time when the original ended, it just seems fitting.  In fact, it would be amazing if all of the characters resembled the originals.  Chloe looks like a young Nancy Barrett in the photo we've seen of her - and Johnny's hair is a similar length to Frid's.  I'm very interested in seeing these characters.

I would not be at all surprised if LilyRose is an imposter.  It's a creepy trend to take the names of "celebrities" or other real people as one's online moniker/alias.

Well, I have given my personal opinion.  Lily-Rose is 12, and Jack is only 9.  Both Vanessa and Johnny have spoken out often about not putting their children in the public eye, and giving them as much privacy as they can until they're old enough to make their own decisions. They do not attend premieres or other public events with him (at least not on the red carpet; they were at Disneyland the day of the Pirates 4 premiere but not with him, and it was only discovered when paparazzi got their pix).  Johnny has spoken out about what he thinks of paps that take their photos, and he will often walk separately or send his family around another way when they're out together to minimize exposure to them. Many Depp fan sites forbid pix of his kids on their sites because of his stand on this.  The only exceptions are a handful of "sanctioned" photos that have been taken by a professional photographer friend.  While it's true that they're getting older, I don't think they're yet at the age where they'd be permitted to have twitter accounts.  And I doubt they would be announcing their whereabouts to the public.  Just my opinion.

For me, I am a bit of a wild thing and like to be daring.  For that reason, I will sometimes go see a movie I'm only curious about for the hell of it.  I'm just wild and crazy that way.

The reports that Depp was going to drop down to 140 pounds for DS are making the rounds on Twitter today, with people being quite horrified by the idea. Who knows why the reports have resurfaced after all this time. But apparently none of the people tweeting have seen the photos of Depp with Alice Cooper because quite obviously they prove those reports were complete hogwash.  

And over on IMDB I see that thanks to more of the sites featuring photos of the Collinwood set and Chloe Moretz' comments at the Harry Potter premiere in London, DS has climbed up to #486 on MOVIEmeter. That's the highest the film has been since the week of May 29th, when it was #397.

Ironically, even though Chloe Moretz' comments sent the film up, they didn't help her enough personally because, even though she climbed up from #105 to #73 on IMDB's STARmeter, she fell from her 2nd place ranking among the DS cast and is now 4th. Eva Green, also thanks to the Collinwood set reports along with the news that Camelot will be released on DVD on August 1st, has jumped up to 2nd among the DS cast because of having jumped on STARmeter from #213 to #39, which is the highest she's ever been since being cast in DS (her previous DS high was #59 during the week of April 10th, with her all-time high being #2 the weeks of November 26th and December 3rd of '06, back in the Casino Royale days). And Helena Bonham Carter remains at 3rd even though she's jumped up to #65 from #174, thanks mostly to HP publicity.

Nancy - These days it's rare that I go see any movie at a theater. I think the last one was at least two years ago. It's my opinion that todays movies are over priced and are more about special effects than story. I'd rather go on a road trip. The movies I do watch I'd rather watch on DVD, cable or netflix. That saves me from having to deal with rude crowds. I have no need to pay to watch a movie and end up with someone behind me on their cell phone. No thanks.

I can honestly say that I've never had a problem with anyone using their cell phone at a movie, at the theater, or at a concert. Maybe I've just been lucky...

Who knows how he's contributing to the film, but there sure seems to be a lot of people involved in music who are also somehow involved in the film.


And people are still in a tizzy and tweeting about Depp dropping down to 140 pounds. Hasn't anyone on Twitter seen Depp's recent photos? And if they have, why aren't they pointing these people to them?

This is the same guy who was listed as playing Quentin Collins on Wiki!  I'm pretty sure he's not playing Quentin.  He probably just found out he got cast and decided to pull a prank on Wiki.  He describes himself as "beared," which is the same description he used for werewolf Q.

Personally, I can't go any great distance anywhere around me for the price of a movie ticket - gas is expensive where I live at almost four dollars a gallon.  $10 would net me a little over two gallons.  I can't even get to the beach for that and it's just 90 minutes away. You're lucky you live in a place where gas is cheaper, believe me.

I've been going to movies for forty plus years and I think twice in all that time I had to ask someone to not talk loud.  The request was respected.   Where the heck do you live, Borgosi??  You have cheap gas but rude theater crowds???  You're blessed with one and cursed with a bad situation.

As to my movie habits: I go maybe once or twice in a six month period depending on what's out there. Some films are best seen on the large screen, others a DVD screening at home suffices.  I don't stress over what I will or will not see.  If the movie sucks, oh well.  I will either leave or stick it out depending on how much it sucks.  It's just not that big a deal.
