It looks like IMDb has added two more to the cast:

Hmmm - could that be part of a mob with firebrands?  


Also, it looks like the film has climbed from its most recent low of #659 up to #503 on MOVIEmeter. Interestingly, the jump is being attributed to recent Frankenweenie publicity. (Not because of Hannah Murray's casting?!      But then, she isn't even on the IMDb cast list yet.  ) However, even though it's old news, it'll be interesting to see if all the attention THR article has gotten will push the film up further...

Not much new, but it did get me thinking...

Since apparently there is
[spoiler]a fire at Collinwood at some undisclosed time, we have to assume a great deal is lost.  So, if the fire takes place between 1772 and 1972, what does this mean for the portrait of Barnabas Collins and every other important prop from the 18th century?  And if it takes place in the "present", what does this mean for our beloved Collinwood and all of its props, assuming there are to be sequels?  Naturally, all important elements like portraits, music boxes, and grandfather clocks could be saved somehow, but it just makes you wonder...[/spoiler]

And the[spoiler]fire[/spoiler]is certainly going to be an interesting development in the film's plot no matter when it takes place. I'm really intrigued...

The reference to DS in this article: Method Studios Launches Three Australian VFX Facilities would seem to indicate another facility working on the visual effects for the Depp/DS film because the MPC mentioned in Alex Kyrou's tweet of yesterday stands for Moving Picture Company, and they don't seem to be related to Method Studios.

Also, MPC's Web site looks like it might be a place to keep an eye on because they have a page for DS, though there's not much to it at the moment: DARK SHADOWS

Variety reports that WB has signed DS writer Seth Grahame-Smith for future projects and praised his "fantastic work on Dark Shadows"

It's never a bad thing when the studio thinks your work is "fantastic."    And it certainly bodes well for the film that his script work on it prompted WB to make it a priority to expand their relationship with him.
