Carolyn begins to re-arrange the chairs in the room.  What are you doing? asks Liz--why are you behaving this way?  I want everyone to be comfortable, answers Carolyn. All right, you may call them in, says Carolyn. Frantic, Liz calls for Julia. Carolyn stands before the fireplace--I'm not going to be as good as I should be, she says, I haven't practiced for so long, I think everyone will understand. She starts to light the candles.  Carolyn, go to your room, insists Liz. Now? asks Carolyn, lighting the candle, not now, not until after my surprise--you aren't going to ruin this for me, Mother. Carolyn! says Liz, upset. The candles are lit. Is no one else coming? asks Carolyn, running to look into the foyer--where are the others? Gerard stands there, staring at her. She turns back and takes her place in front of the fireplace. I can start now, says Carolyn. Start WHAT? asks Liz. My concert--please sit down, says Carolyn. Liz sits on the sofa. Smoothing back her hair, Carolyn says, "For my first number, I should like to sing my very favorite song." Liz, horrified, says, No, Carolyn, no!  Please be quiet! orders Carolyn, or else you'll ruin the concert for everyone!  She clears her throat and sings

The Robservations paraphrases the quote but gets the points across, albeit without using "must" - shameful!!...

--you always seem to forget that, but I assume that's because of your strange loyalty to him--because you are his sister.  His sister Constance, repeats Julia.  What are you mumbling about? he asks.  Nothing at all, she says--tell me, why are you so bitter about Brutus?  The two of you are just exactly alike, he accuses, so despicable, deceiving.  Why do you hate us so? asks Julia.  Such a stupid question, says Forsythe.  I'm just trying to understand, she says.  Understand? he asks, you and Brutus are totally incapable of understanding anything--you know perfectly well the reason I hate you so much--and I refuse to go on boring the two of us because of it.  Where are you going? she asks.  To get away from you, he retorts, as far as I can possibly get.  She tries to stop him, but he warns "Constance," stay away from me--I'm warning you!--stay away from me!  He leaves.  Julia is shaken.

On the night...Carolyn stops, unable to continue for the tears welling in her throat--on the night Bill Malloy died, she finishes--why? Are you sure it was that night? he asks. Why? she cries, why?--what's all this business about my pen--did someone find it? Yes, Miss Winters found it, says Patterson, on the beach at Lookout Point. Carolyn repeats this and says, "You think my Uncle Roger lost it there--you think he killed Bill Malloy." Her voice rises with anger, and Garner pays close attention. I don't think anything, Patterson assures her, I'm just trying to collect information. Did Vicki come to you with this wild story? asks Carolyn. She compliments Willie on the wonderful job he's done with the restoration--you should be proud, she tells him. He thanks her very much for saying that, his voice sincere and sad. "There's a lot of things we deserve and never get, he remarks, and there's a lot of things we get and don't deserve."

The Robservations doesn't reference the quote at all. However, after Vicki compliments Willie and before she says he should be proud, she asks if Willie will be coming to the party. He says he'll be around, but after Vicki asks if he's going to wear a costume, Willie says Mr. Collins wants him to but he feels funny about it. But in response to that is when Vicki delivers the quote and follows it up with saying could do with some fun...

And this is the second quote from this ep. The first (Barnabas - 'That night MUST go nothing wrong'), a classic blooper, was back on July 28th of 2020.

The Robservations paraphrase but gets the point across, although without using "must' - shameful!!...

And this is the third quote from this ep. The first (Josette - 'I MUST find that ring!') was back on May 4th of 2020, and the second (Countess du Pres - 'I only know I MUST keep you alive until after midnight') was back on January 4th of 2022.

Collinwood - Stokes goes to Adam's room. Adam asks what he wants and Stokes says he must speak to him. Stokes asks him where Vicki is, but Adam denies even knowing her. Stokes tells him not to deny it, he knows what Adam wants and what he's done to get it. He taught him it was wrong to lie, why is he lying now. Adam denies lying, but Stokes says he doubts Barnabas would fabricate such a story and told him everything. "Barnabas will be sorry!" says Adam through gritted teeth, but Stokes reminds him that hurting the innocent is wrong. Adam feels getting what he wants is all that's important, and Stokes asks him if the end justifies the means--he never taught him that. There are many things the professor didn't teach or tell him, accuses Adam. Stokes asks where Vicki is, but Adam refuses to tell him. He assures him she's safe. Stokes says sooner or later the police will find Vicki, and Adam asks him if he's going to the police--he'll hurt him if. . .

The Robservations simply references the quote's circumstances - but without using "must" - again, shameful!!...

And this is the third quote from this ep. The first (Prof. Stokes - 'You call it a mistaken impression. But there MUST be some logical basis for it') was back on August 29th, and the second (Barnabas - 'Oh, we have no choice, Julia. We MUST give in to him') was back on November 23rd.
