Will this cut the mustard and allow access with this browser again?
Nope. 7.0.1 has the same security issues as 7.0.

MB...
I downloaded Netscape 7.0
Ya know, with the board crawling most of the time for me, I thought...well, why don't I try Netscape Navigator, 'cause MB has said it's much better than IE. Well I downloaded it and used it a little, then tried to get on here and I got a message saying it wouldn't work with this board.
Cassandra asked:
>MB, how do you get to those graph's? Is there a link
>that you have to go to to get that?
Cassandra, that's from a program called Ping Plotter.
Mysterious Benefactor, Midnite, or Dom...
I don't know which one of you, or none of you, is responsible for the montage at the very beginning of the site.
Where do you get this wonderful things?
Does someone have a whole set, do they make them one by one, and who is "someone". If they have a whole set, can I get one...they're beautiful!
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Apache/1.3.26 Server at www.dsboards.com Port 80
I can never figure out error messages - why don't they say what they really mean? I'm sure that forbidden and permission bit has nothing to do with it!
I said I had DSL, not ESP.
Hee hee, you're incorrigible!
From what I hear, Verizon does have it's share of problems too!!
(I have DSL, but shhh, don't let MB hear that. )
Is the forum crawling along for anybody else? I can't get anywhere on here without waiting forever for the pages to load. Nothing else is moving slowly, just the board.
By the way, the same thing happened again last night at about the same time.
Nov. 30 - around 3 a.m. Eastern - wouldn't come up at all. I tried again a little later and the same thing. I checked the times of the posts when I got in today, and it looks like there were no posts between about 1 a.m. and more "regular" morning times.
Just a quick note to everyone who e-mailed inquiries last night:
We always appreciate your concern and interest. And rest assured that if there ever was a serious problem, you'd be the first to know because we'd send out an e-mail to all our registered members. But the simple fact is that from time to time it's inevitable that the forum will be down when our host does routine maintenance on its server. Unfortunately, unlike the times when I take the forum offline to do work on it, I can't put up a page that says the forum is down temporarily and to try again later. But the site will come back when the maintenance is finished, so there's really no need to worry.
Just remember - patience is a virtue. And in this case, though it isn't always easy, Midnite and I have to be patient too.
I was trying to access http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scifi-darkshadows and a "DULL DNS ERROR" appears instead. I can't access the website.
