I just happened to catch the end of Desperately Seeking Susan this afternoon and I was shocked to see a clip from one of Dennis Patrick's grade B movies being screened by Aidan Quinn's character to an audience in a movie theater. I strongly suspect that it may have even been a clip from this film. It went by so fast that I couldn't tell with absolute certainty. But it was definitely a Sci-Fi film, which this is, and it looked like actor John Hoyt was also in the clip, and both Patrick and Hoyt appear in this film, so...

Unlike the initial reports, I see where many subsequent reports about the CW's mass renewals are mentioning the DS project as either a "sequel" or "reboot" in development. Though several others are making it sound like DS is already picked up for the 2020-21 season. If only! But we know that's most probably not the case - yet...
It's nice to see this article from The Hollywood Reporter mentions "The network's development slate for 2020-21 includes ... a sequel to the 1960s gothic soap Dark Shadows" so at least we know the project is still on track...
I don't know if we should read anything into The Lost Boys not being mentioned. Probably not. But its omission is interesting...
Barbara Steele even commented in one interview that she thought the whole cast was going to end up in iron lungs once production on the show was over...
