I'm looking at imdb dot com; there's a John Karlen movie DIRECTED by Lela Swift titled "Nightmare at 43 Hillcrest".

There's no description; it's from 1974.

Has anyone ever seen it?

Just looking today (Fri), most of our pictures (including ones of ourselves, DS actors) plus avatars (see my TURTLE) look somewhat bleary...watery. Not the 'cartoon' ones though; they seem tight & strong.

Does anyone else notice it?

Patti

PS...from a different board...Midnite...your CHILD is a webmaster....hello?? I can barely get around on the 'puter, but your CHILD is a master.... :-[ :'(

Josette...I know what you mean.

I was to the point (prior to Christmas/new system) that I could NOT read the 'fine print' (see words next to below etc).
And yes dear...the colors are better!

GO GIRLFRIEND!!!

Enjoy,

Raineypark...you've been there?
Was it to see the 'Haunted Hayride", or to see where they filmed DS?

How were the people there?

How long after the 1970 filming was your visit?

It's too bad they couldn't have gotten Alexandra Moltke for the Maggie role in PT.

AM approached DC about returning to the show, but she only wanted to come back if she could play a character with a dark side. DC wouldn't hear of that because he felt she was too identified with sweet Vicki in the viwers' minds. But I think it could have been great if she might have played Carolyn's bitchy, older sister and Liz's daughter in PT. She might have also been Roger's favorite - and just think of the trouble those two might have caused together. But alas...

I agree...I don't think 'soap' viewers back then could've accepted AM as above; now though, your average viewer would revel in it!

I've just received a used copy of the original book from the 1960s on which the movie was based.  Fairly easy to find inexpensive paperback versions; the title is "Day of the Arrow."

I'm quite curious to see whether the book bears any relation to the movie that followed ...

Let us know....so, if I went to the library, I should  try to borrow "Day of the Arrow"?

Thanks again!

Patti

Most welcome character (the one you were happiest to see)?
Barnabas...I know, how trite...but I enjoyed having him again 'save' the Collins'.

Quote
Your favorite character in Leviathans, period.
PETOFI!!! Closely followed by Laura

Quote
Favorite duo (non-romantic)?
Barn & Ang...especially regarding Q & Laura

Quote
Favorite romantic pairing?
Petofi & Aristede  >:D (sorry, couldn't resist!)

Quote
Favorite minor character?
Carl Collins

Quote
Most irritating character?
Gregory AND Minerva Trask

Quote
Scene(s) you can watch over and over and over and...?
Minerva Trask's 'haunting' of Judith; scenes with Petofi as David.

Quote
Most wasted opportunity?
Not explaining the whole Quentin haunting/the extra bodies in his room, like why David in 1969?

Quote
Best plot twist?
When/where Angelique makes Dopplegangers for herself & Barn.

Quote
Creepiest moment or event?
Again, Minerva...just quietly sitting there, oh so menacingly towards Judith!!

Quote
Which scene had you yelling at your TV screen the loudest?
SHE'S NOT JOSETTE....JOSETTE IS DEAD...DON'T FOLLOW HER!!

Quote
What moment made you cheer the loudest?
ANY time Angelique had a one-upsmanship on Petofi

Quote
Moment in which you most wondered, "What were the writers smoking?"
The whole thing with Nicholas telling Tim to "Kill...this is the Queen of Spades..."

Quote
Event or revelation that made you ask, "What were the writers smoking?"
Love Nancy Barrett...but the whole Pansy Faye thing became a bit annoying IMHO.

Quote
Favorite quote?
"I'M GONNA DANCE FOR YOU" (I know!)

Quote
Favorite prop?
There are no props except the TELEPHONE. The TELEPHONE IS 1897!!

Quote
Favorite special effect?
Quentin's portrait.

Quote
Least favorite special effect?
ELECTRICITY...AKA THOSE COLORED FLICKERED LIGHTS....AAAHHH!!!

Quote
Favorite outfit?
Can't remember...something Laura wore.

Quote
Ugliest outfit?
Ick...Magdawear!

Quote
Stupidest continuity error (the most horrendous job of retconning in this storyline)?
Again....Josette

Quote
What scene had you closest to tears (because it was so touching)?
When Quentin and David thought they lost love and trust for each other.  :'(

Quote
What scene had you closest to tears (from laughing)?
Anything with Tim Shaw.

Quote
Moment or event that made your jaw drop the farthest?
Where Quentin says, "But I saw Laura die in a fire in Alexandria".

Quote
What nagging question were you left with?
(Uh, try to narrow it down, please. :))...COME ON...what other question is there save....WHAT BECAME OF PETOFI???

Quote
Finally, what was your reaction to the storyline the very first time you watched it?
Enjoyed the Laura arc; hated the 'modern' conveniences (in abundance, in Maine, in 1897!!), actually, hated Petofi first time 'round, (whereas I loved the Josette skitch). Also, I hadn't yet watched earlier eps, so I didn't know about Laura.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I JUST REALIZED WHAT I DID :-
(not to mention, I didn't know how to quote).

Midnite...go ahead and delete it..... :-[ :-[ :-[

One thing 'good' about Leviathan arc is the 'changing' kids.

Alexander first...then all of a sudden, Michael (I think Michael is next).

The first time I saw that...I was creeped out!!

Really liked the whole Sky/Angelique involvement; thought that brought some depth and credibility. (Especially that poor Ang has finally met her dream dude, but he's just a dud!)

Also, again, I childishly enjoy watching the "them" vs. "us" (Barn, Maggie, Quentin & Julia).
