Thanks Brian.

But, you weren't completely wrong, at least for the earlier STATES (after colonies, but before the 'War of Northern Aggression'), one of the criterion, was if slavery would be allowed.

For the brief time One Life to Live was 'streaming' or at least 'on the computer', which format or company was it with? (I want to say Hulu..)

Um, on another topic, I had asked if DS was on Netflix, where I believe KMR informed me that it would be too hard to follow a serial, which made sense.

Wish I would've known it was on Hulu; although my times watching stuff on Hulu, not at all impressed.

I looked at my bank statement a week ago....somehow, I was charged for A. Prime.  [ghost_mad]

Current Talk '16 II / Blu-ray DS

Has the OS DS been made into/onto blu-ray?

How about the HoDS & NoDS?

Oh, man, I haven't thought of some of these movies in a while.

Here's the ones I don't think should be on the list (i.e., I don't think they're 'horror/spooky' in the traditional sense):

Flatliners

Silence of the Lambs

Alien(s) (all the different ones)

The 'new' Ghostbusters (I don't consider the 'real' Ghostbusters a scary movie, it's a fun movie)

That having been said, I've comment on here a couple of times about "Interview with the Vampire"; for me, it's completely about Kirsten Dunst's amazing rendering of an 'immortal', at such a young age.

I love love love "Cabin in the Woods"....but, if you have that, you MUST include "Cabin Fever".

OMG..."The Shining" and "The Exorcist".....

Here's a little known fact; I worked at a movie rental place, and I'd put up returned movies. There wasn't really any artwork on the cover of "The Strangers". I finally brought it home, and my eldest daughter was way down the street, and my husband at work.....this goes in the tally of movies I cannot watch without a grown-up present (see the two right above).

"The Omen"....nope, it's got to be the original with Gregory Peck.

I haven't thought of "Chuckie" in a very long time!

"Lost Boys" very good...between the younger, non-vampiricals and the hot teen guys, good flick.

"Poltergeist" extremely good.

"Wrong Turn" is one of my daughter's and my favorite.

But, ALL the "Saw" franchise should definitely be included....the way you have 2 people from the previous; it's genius.

Hate, hate, HATE "Carrie".

Wouldn't have thought of it, but, perhaps "Jaws" can stay. It's a fantastic movie, but, I'm a purist (spooky).

Did I miss "The Ring"? That is a SCARY movie!!

RE: everybody was doing drugs...well, then, where's "Count Yorga" and/or "Blacula"? I know someone did a movie in the 70's a re-do of "Frankenstein" (I want to say Michael Sarazin (sp), but, I'm not positive).

Current Talk '16 II / Early-ish In OS (Could Contain Spoilers)
« on: August 08, 2016, 12:19:10 AM »
So, since I had ordered the whole series, I was finally letting myself watch more of the "Fan Favs", which I had purchased a couple/few years ago.

First, I saw Julia, with her hair all up 'boofy'.

There was some talk about a seance, in the room (before seance) were Carolyn, Roger, Liz & Julia.

Julia totally looked like the proverbial 'cat', while Carolyn didn't want to be the 'canary'.

All the stuff reading in Robservations....Julia loves, loves, loves Barn...well, she sure didn't then! She looked mean!!!

Calendar Events / Announcements '16 II / OT - "Paranoic"
« on: August 07, 2016, 08:25:21 PM »
I received a recommendation from Amazon; it was a multi-pack collection.

I had alot of Hammer films.

There was a film called, "Paranoic" (not misspelled), which has Oliver Reed.

It sounded good, so I bought just this flick (because I already owned most of the others in collection).

Has anyone ever heard of it or seen it?

Thanks,

Patti

No, this wasn't about slavery; it was about how each 'place' became a state. But thanks, and I tried B&N too.

I definitely listened to warnings here, and watched the link.

So, I went on to my ebay, and just asked the seller, WHO ACCEPTED MY MONEY 4 DAYS AGO.

(I clicked on the 'send chat to my email'). This is the exact copy of what I asked:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you please tell me the barcode# on the back?

I'm hearing that 'shrink wrapped' sets are counterfeits.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I go to work, and at 2:30, wonder if he's working on a weekend.

HE CANCELED MY ORDER.

Then, I had the delight of attempting to contact a person at ebay (odds are comparable to winning the Pick 4 lottery in your state).

It got escalated because I was $F$(*(^& LIVID.

With good reason. This was not a bid; he had NINE for sale (hmmm).

So, I was attempting to tell the senior rep that the $$$ wouldn't be back in my checking account until like Mon-Tues (weekend), when, thank God, she said it went back into my PayPal account. (There was another ONE which I had seen, about $20 more than the first, which, now was $35 more.)

So, I don't care what it is, as long as it's the whole series.

I was outraged, sad, mad, gloomy, bitchy, sad, sad, sad, sad, and probably other things.

I'm semi-holding my breath until IF the other one comes.

Patti

dom is a prophet

PS...so, this new guy accepted my offer...what if he decides no??? If someone accepts your money for a good or service, don't they NEED to have my okay to decline? It's not like I was talking back & forth with him, I clicked on the Buy Now. How come he gets to accept, take my money, then, since I dared to have a brain & ask, just dump me???? ebay said they'll put a mark on him.....seriously though, he was in US, don't I have rights?
