Calendar Events / Announcements '05 I / Paul Does Dallas
« on: February 20, 2005, 11:35:39 PM »
Watching "Dallas" on Soapnetwork last night...lo & behold, it's Paul Stoddard!!

I believe I've read posts that he was on there, but I never saw them before last night.

They aired 2 eps of Dallas last night; 2nd ep, he was only in 1 scene...but it was T H E ep which led to "Who Shot JR" (which I had never seen before!!)

(so...go figure....Paul Stoddard at the Blue Whale, circa 1949, listening to Bing Crosby...fast forward 30 years...Bing Crosby's daughter....yada yada!! only in America!!)

Actually, I watched "Sliders" the other day, and I thought of 1840?pt?'s Quentin's machine.

Also, I LOVE the idea of a David/Carolyn descendent going back in time!!!!

Ian...too funny...just a couple of nights ago, "The Time Machine" was on. I couldn't watch it, but I thought about time travel & DS...so, loosely, DS already been there/done that.

Kolchak....terrific..BUT...nowadays I read so many women authors, it would be nice to have some stronger women kicking but (think FAITH!!lol).

Back to the Future was done too (1795 & 1897, Barn/Vicki went back).

Let's see, "Rebecca", "Turn of the Screw", "Dr. Jekyl/Hyde"...the classics.

Now space travel, which since DS has become a commonality, that would be fun to 'explore' (think Julia on Mars!!)

And initially Willie's dialogie had him referring to himself in the third person (e.g. "Willie Loomis doesn't like it there." Which was fine until James Hall started messing it up and saying things like "Nobody pushes Willy Loman around" and "Willy Loman likes her."

I can't believe I never noticed that before (I haven't seen the oldies in....well, when they were on at night...remember...1/2 hour a.m., 1/2 hour p.m).

If nothing else, my karma has seriously changed  :o

(During the Christmas/mistletoe, my 'puter was down, so, the few min/day I could log on at work, I didn't bother....was the karma changed then too?)

I showed my daughter (the one who hates DS) the 'floating' and she wanted to play, so:

KUDOS TO MB :D :D :D

and....kudos to 'TPTB' for the Caption This board....how tres tres!

Thank you so very much,
