MB, I'm confused. From the article, I thought this was a game, not a movie....

Patti, who's never played D&D.

I came on to CE/A for another reason. When I saw this topic, I literally did NOT believe my eyes. I went to the other place, came back....and this is still here...

I'm very sad and shocked.

It's Tues evening; I watched news (NY & Philly) Monday a.m. & p.m, and Tues a.m. & p.m. Did not hear of Mr. Curtis' passing at all :'(

I too would like to hail the Curtis' for a 54 year marriage.

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / OT<HTML Course/Question
« on: March 29, 2006, 01:32:31 AM »
Alright, so the local HS is having a 3x course on "Intro to HTML". Sure, why not. I'm wondering what exactly I'm likely to learn. BIIIG disclaimer: I live surrounded by 5 large retirement communities, so frequently when you go to one of these, it tends to be, "How do I turn on my computer" (I kid you not).

Now, I can't imagine MB knowing what a HS night course is (perhaps a non-accredited college night class??) nor Midnite, but, they do know HTML (right?). Plus, I know I have other knowledgeable cousins who could perhaps tell me what to be listening for (yeah, you Bobubas & Connie & Mark Rainey) :D

(Okay, what again is HTML? I mean, I sort of know it's a 'computer language', but is it becoming 'passe'?)

Thanks alot,

Patti

I actually didn't care for Dirk.

Since I was totally unaware, I liked Peter Bradford (at least for the first 2/3rds of 1795).

MB Dahling, I've been wondering something for a while. I've never seen a non-Windows PC (with a long ago exception of a nightschool course I took on MAC/Apple). What does your main screen (not online) look like?? Could you ?somehow? put a literal 'screen' grab?

Thanks and sorry for saying windows,

Patti

Charles, thanks, I was hoping someone would know more about when/where/if they were available.

OMG...Anthony George...what do I vaguely remember him on? (besides DS)?? Screen grab anyone?

Rainey, I sort of agree about too much, and I personally didn't really care (too much) for All My Children's last years retrospect.

Was actually home by 11am with NO KIDS, finished scrubbing my kitchen floor, enjoying lunch of shrimp fried rice & pizza. I see Ryan's Hope was on SoapNet...so off I clicked..

Now, I don't believe I watched RH past 1977. Funny thing, I immediately knew Seneca & Jillian. This made me think of some of our cousins who were old enough to watch DS first time on air ;)

Here's a question, and I'm not sure if I'll phrase it correctly: Could 'they' (SoapNet?) air say One Life to Live from 1972? How about soaps which aren't on air anymore (besides ABC soaps, I'm not certain, but Secret Storm & Search for Tomorrow come to mind).

I mean I like OLTL, but I believe SoapNet airs it like 3 times per 24 hours (and don't forget the marathons on the weekends).

I would love to see some older soaps, just for pure entertainment. In the case of OLTL, it would be great to 'relive' my childhood.

As long as we're asking....can't they show DS??  :'(

All Liz can come up with is the storm cellar (note that there's no basement at this point in time).

Were there storm cellars in Maine in 1966? (Actually, in mid 1700's, because that's presumably when the Old House was built.)

Basements, yes, but storm cellars? Does anyone know this about New England architecture?

Thanks & we love Luciaphil :-* ,

Did anyone happen to attend this?

Was there any media coverage?

Thanks,

That's interesting about Theron's resemblance to Lara Parker.  I still have yet to see any of Theron's films.

Me neither Gothick, but, I didn't realize I was watching her on "Arrested Development". Since I've seen that (and that's quite different than a 'Monster' or 'statuette',) I agree that there's some resemblance to L.P.

Thanks for the pic; I don't believe I've ever seen Michael Stroka in a light color.

Does anyone know approx. how old he was for Wonder Woman? (1978).

Thanks,

mscbryk....what a thought-provoking statement.

I had never thought of this, especially that 1897 was one of the highest watched story arcs.

Kukos to you!!
