Okay, I've just watched what is probably within the 25 top worst movies, ever.

It was part of a 4-pack "Movies 4 You: Horror".

OMG....it was soooo baaad (and I'm not talking 'Bad, watch your mouth).

Terrible....terrible.

But, at least I have my friends here to talk about stinko (I was going to say vampire, but, the dude doesn't turn into a vampire, just a vampire bat, man sized).

I can't tell what country they're supposed to be in; some names of cities/regions are mentioned, but, still....

And, they come across a grand, palatial hotel (perhaps had been a castle) in the middle of nowhere.

I had heard of 'art' movies; knowing movies, I think this is well done so far (not done yet).

Decided I would finally watch, "Daughters of Darkness".

I thought watcing a Hammer Dracula would start me off well. I watched, "Dracula 72 AD", which, I can't remember ever seeing. When I looked at my phone & showed it was 11:30 pm, I popped Drac out, and I'm just starting DoD.

Weird...has different companies for the various countries it was released it (I've never seen that before).

I actually put my hand over my eyes....no way am I ready to 'see' JK (in the Biblical sense!!)

So, if you're like me, and not attending the fest, I'll put more regarding "Daughters of Darkness" as I watch it.

I was looking at some films at Amazon.
First, I had put in the parameters 'spooky movies', and, with the exception of Scooby Do, ALL were EXCLUSIVELY for Prime to rent or buy.
Tried chatting w/an agent, who then forwarded me, and then, zilch.

Alright, went back onto Amazon, looked at my order history; clicked on a Vincent Price or older type horro. (I was rightfully assuming it would say 'people who purchased this also purchased that.."

Then, I thought maybe I should shop for price. I went onto oldiesdoctcom (where I purchased my Dr. Mabuse).

When I typed in the address, I got the following:

There is no web application configured to service your request

????????????????????????????????????????? huh?????????????????????

Any input would be appreciated.

I would also GREATLY appreciate it if lots of cousins suggest movie names; I prefer older flicks, buy not exclusively. (To me, 70s are not older.)

Thanks!

Calendar Events / Announcements '16 II / Rebecca
« on: June 22, 2016, 07:00:10 AM »
Just got through watching, "Rebecca".

Some thoughts:

Most people call her Mrs. Danvers.

No one (I believe) ever called 'her' anything but Hoffman (no Miss/Mrs, and certainly not doctor).

Mrs. Danvers is 'sort of' the secondary character of "Rebecca", but Hoffman doesn't come off with anything but a minor 'beep'.

This, I believe, is because we never get to see Rebecca, whereas, we see two much Angelexis.

I've watched "Rebecca" well over 40 times; this time, I watched it for 'x' amount of time after work, it was spread out over 4 nights.

I started thinking that Mrs. Danvers....might 'like' Rebecca.

So, on the DVD, I was watching the extras, it was about Daphne Du Maurier. Seems she also 'liked' women, as well as men.

I can't believe I never picked up on this before....wild. Especially for 1940.

Always love George Sanders.

I always got the impression in RT that the study was Roger's. Don't know why; perhaps he entered while someone was in there, and he asked, "Why are you in my study?" or, he may have said to a person in the main house, "Let's go into my study."

Just an impression though....

Little confused; is it a made for Netflix movie, or, an ongoing series?

Thanks

Current Talk '16 II / Re: Why Do We Hate Certain Characters?
« on: June 18, 2016, 04:30:34 AM »
I find Chris Pennock pretty bad hated Jeb then and now and find Shaw the same. I'm not caring for David and Hallie as they seem to be written too childishly.

Funny, from participating in the Watching Project, I've come to not hate him (but, reading is NOT the same as hearing & seeing!)

I posted something recently on the Watching Project about how I hate a roll David would be in; it's this I'm referring to; I think most of us feel sorry for a young adolescent on the toy....

Chris Pennock in the upcoming (Daphne, et al) his character I despise.

And, speaking of strongly not liking, I hate what becomes of Liz, Julia, Nancy Barrett & J Karlen.

MB, I didn't catch your Microsoft Edge until now.

At work today, there's the 'standard' e (explorer), plus an e that looks somewhat like the aforementioned e.

I hovered over it and it said MS Edge.

Is it trying to be the new Chrome?

Thanks again

Does she mean evil or good?

Is there such a thing on DS.

I mean, it's not even black or white, or, even varying shades of gray.

It's whatever the character is doing.

Just beginning reading ep 1076.

David says something to the effect a room that shouldn't be there.

But, could it if it was another 'wave' of parelle time? Were there rooms in PT that weren't in RT? Angelique's room (PT)....what RT room was that?

Then, I was wondering...when Barn & Julia are in 1995, was it still PT, or RT?
