Why isn't 'Race with the Devil' ever shown on TV?

So, I went to Amazon, but, the few listed were well over $50  [ghost_undecided]

Anyone know why it's so expensive?

I just won the bid...$9.99 (without the 'other movie').

The reason it's expensive is that it's Out of Print (I had to ask the seller what OOP meant).

I won.

Boy, would I be happy if someone NOW went to ebay, and offered bushro81 $10.50 for his copy of "Race with the Devil".
(I found the only one that doesn't come w/"Dirty Harry/Crazy Mary" or whatever.)

I lost my job yesterday & don't need a $10 movie.

their urban legend roots

urban roots???

Uh, not so much.

I see, "Being Human", and, I believe it was Aidan, but, I can't tell who the photo of the woman is (it's not Sally); I realize there have been I believe 4 different renditions of "Being Human"; I'm referring to the one that just went off SciFy about 2-3 years ago. Sorry I can't remember the werewolf's name, the show ended up definitely being mostly about him.

I'm glad they mentioned "Sesame Street"!!

Now, I'm not positive what type of 'ghoul' he was supposed to be, but, what about the 'mad scientist' who twice visited "Gilligan's Island" (different role)....he 'sort of' seemed like a vampire.

(And, if we're talking TV vampires, let's mention "The Practice", "L.A. Law", et al.!!)

Sorry, but who is Beverly Hayes? What character did she play in OS? (Non-credited extra?)

Also, can you find out if it will air on non-New England-y PBSs?

Sounds cool!

While watching Disc 8 last night, I was wondering about Louis Edmonds (sp).

DS went off-air early '71.

Am I correct in thinking LE started on AMC in approximately 1976?

If so, can anyone tell me what he was doing in those approximate 5 years?

Thank you very much, [hall2_kiss] [hall2_kiss] [hall2_kiss] [hall2_kiss] [hall2_kiss]

I've never really heard people mentioning Nancy B. at various fests. Perhaps I just didn't notice.

Is she a 'regular' at most fests? Just off the top of my head, I'd list L. Parker, KL Scott, J. Karlen, Peter Bradford (OMG, I really can't think of his name!), C. Pennock (sometimes, not always), usually D. Selby.

Hmm...did D. Nickerson attend any of the 50th anniversary fest(s)? How about Sharon Smyth?

And, since there's:

OS
HoDS
NoDS
'90 reboot
'04 pilot
'12 movie

Are any and all DS actors from any of the above mentioned invited/allowed? (don't know if I phrased that properly....)

Also, have there been times when children/grandchildren of the OS actors (who had passed on) ever attended with tales of family times (say, Joan Bennett's granddaughter; if she were around, would she have 'carte blanche' to attend (btw, I have no idea if J. B. has/had a granddaughter).

...I've never really quite gotten the whole "Six degrees of separation", but, Midnite posted about the Halloween fest mentions:
who knew that Daniel Roebuck is a fan?

By streeeetchiiing it, I can say that D. Roebuck was in "Dark & Stormy Night" with Betty Garrett (Irene Lorenzo on "All in the Family"), and so was Jim Beaver ("Supernatural").

The stretch would be that on I believe 2 occasions on "Supernatural", there's eps which are reminiscent of "Dracula" and "Frankenstein". I do believe these may have been 'covered' a little on DS  [hall2_rolleyes]

IIRC, someone else on here has mentioned Daniel Roebuck. I like him from Cliff on "Matlock". But his performance on "Dark & Stormy Night" is quite fun.

I've been meaning to ask this; close enough topic.

Who are Roger & Liz's parents? Is Jameson their father (time wise, it fits)? Who's there mother? Who raised thems (I may be 'merging' different story arcs, but I don't believe their parents were around when Liz & Roger were little.)

Actually, I believe in the first episode, Liz says to Carolyn (regarding Vicki coming to live there) that she's near her (Carolyn) age.

What I find interesting is how well Maggie remembers Burke; she was about 8 also.

And, it's mentioned that Carolyn went to school in Collinsport, and she's clearly graduated/not in school anymore (nor Maggie).

Patti

PS...I think it just 'seems' if Vicki is older; she didn't have her parents/home life to grow up in.

I enjoyed revisiting two of the Lee Hammer Dracula movies on TCM, too, and hastened to make certain I had all of them on DVD (had to order "Scars of Dracula" and "Satanic Rites of Dracula" to complete my library.

I don't believe I've heard of Scars or Satanic Rites....is C. Lee Dracula in these?

Thanks,

Patti

I thought on DS, the werewolf 'cowers' to the vamp (this may just be because of Barn's silver headed cane).

But, I'm reasonably sure I've seen other movies where they do not get along; primarily the werewolf is scared of the vampire (cuz a werewolf 'couldn't kill a vamp').
