Carolyn shows Uncle Roger the 'gift' Burke gave her:

It's a pen....

"You cannot accept a gift like this; it's too extravagant".

penpenpenpenpenpenpenpenpenpenpepenpen

This is an ep right before there's a pre-set meeting (set up by Bill). We see Burke, Roger and Sam; Bill's not there yet....

WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Talked to Google re OS; no, you can't download Office.

You can use it online, but, with bad internet, I can't depend on it, so, I'll have to buy another Windows OS; I will only buy one running 8.1/8.

Booh,

I'm hoping to start a new job; where I can be customer care from my home.

Time to update laptop and MS Office.

First, I'm glad I never bothered to update to Windows 10; I've been reading that it constantly wants to update (which is normal), but it takes up so much space, people are having to uninstall stuff, to bare bones.

So, I'm looking at Asus with Chrome as the OS.

Here's my question: can I use Microsoft Office with a Chrome OS?

(That's another thing...for Office 2016, be aware...they have a 365 version, which is an annual renewal; they're still listing Office 2010, which I had bought in 2010, for my college course.)

There's always a box (on any OS I believe) if you want to 'unremember' your passwords; I never click it.

Just now, had to log in again...what's going on?

About a week ago, I had 'cashed out my cookies'.

But, almost (though not 100%) of the time, I have to log in.

Yes, I click the Always Stay Logged In, and, unless I'm seriously mistaken, I have never logged out of here.

But Burton stuck with the original.  For those who hated the film, he was more beloved of the original than they were.

That same feeling is for me, regarding how I didn't understand how/why the 2012 had Roger being such a creep. Until I saw (am currently seeing) what a $^*^&# Roger was in early days. I had no clue, but, Burton must have!!

I'm still on The Beginnings disc (almost onto last - disc 6).

The first thing that absolutely jumps out is what a terrific actress Nancy Barrett is.

I don't know her age in 1966, but, she's on cue, doesn't over or underplay her role; she is truly wonderful to watch and hear.

Next is that we love Joan Bennett, but, in the beginning (but she seems to have gotten the 'hang' of it now, again, I'm on disc 5); she 'spazed' on her lines alot, looking at the teleprompter IN THE BEGINNING.

She's a true actress, in that I mean she either learned her script (singular) for a movie, or, I'm assuming she appeared on stage, where, again, the script would be the same day after day. That has to be very hard to go from 'sameness' to completely different day after day. But, she's knocking it out of the park already!

I really like Bill Malloy.

Since the whole bleeder valve incident, we're not seeing David. Did TPTB want to see if adult women would be offended by a kid's sociopathic behavior?

I have the DVD paused right now; Vicki has walked into town, and is sitting with Maggie at a table in the coffee shop. Bill Malloy just left to call/see Liz. Maggie is so pretty.

Likes I said, just some musings.

More to follow.

Sorry if to some (who've owned the series for a while) if I'm being tiresome....but this is a 5-layer chocolate cake with sprinkles, cherries, unicorns and rainbows on top for me.

...I can get some ink?" says Victoria to Carolyn.

Carolyn: "Here, use my pen."

Didn't get a good look upon the pen...

Just saw T. David as MM  [ghost_smiley]

Is it normal that at the beginning of each ep, there's the 'board' which has written the date, take, VDT? in chalk? Will that be at the beginning of EVERY episode?

Current Talk '16 II / Re: Why Do We Hate Certain Characters?
« on: August 30, 2016, 04:32:54 AM »
I used to really have a distaste for the entire Leviathan era (Pennock in particular), but through the WP I have really moved it upwards quite a few notches on my preference meter!!!

I also used to loathe it, but, there are certain elements.

Maybe it's in part because of how much I H A T E the Leviathan storyline on "Supernatural", that I feel our Levis aren't as much 'Dick's' (lol).

One part I forget sometimes, is when Barn first 'arrives' in present time, uh, who/what one of his 'snack's is. (Because for the remainder of DS, Barn would never, ever do 'that'.)

So, the montage on Main page is ghost of Josette asking 'Vicki', "Help me".

What exactly did Josette need help with?
