Calendar Events / Announcements '17 II / <OT Movies
« on: November 29, 2017, 09:41:35 PM »
I received my catalog from Oldiesdotcom.

There were about 5 movies I would have liked, but, $25 at Christmas time isn't in the cards.

So, I went to ebay, bought 2 of them (after reading reviews on IMDb).

First, I bought The Scarlet Letter which I've never read or seen before.

I also bought an Eddie G movie The Red House.

Was wondering if anyone had any feedback.

Thanks!

Current Talk '17 II / By Invitation Only
« on: November 29, 2017, 05:34:55 AM »
Here's something I've wanted to ask for a while;

When, within vampire lore (or, perhaps more accurately, TV/movie vamp. lore) did it become a vampire could only enter a private domicile by invitation only?

I believe my first memory is with 'Lost Boys' (Edward Hermann tells 'the boys', "Never invite a vampire in...(more words), and, it had to be the 'man of the house'. (Which is inaccurate; it wasn't Jason Patric's house, but Bernard Hughes'.)

I don't remember it in any of the Hammer or earlier pics; then, Buffy & Angel it was harped about frequently.

Watching DS right now; Barnabas was never formally invited into Collinwood, he was inside before it was habitable. The Old House was Naomi's gift, so that's not an issue....

I also don't remember it being an issue for 'Interview with the Vampire'.

Um, I've never seen any versions, and I didn't know he gets killed 1/2 way through.

Anywho, this reminds me of early 2000s; alot of stars, not Leading Actor, Leading Actress, Supporting....blah blah.

Think of "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past", and many others. I like this format alot.

SJ: "They're $5.98 at K Mart!  You can give 'em to every girl in town if you want!"
B: "That is truly a cunning plan, Mrs. Whoever."

Not sex, but, still BLATENT he v she:

We've got Russel Crowe smashing a phone down so hard it hurt the employee at hotel's front desk.
There's Keifer getting popped for this, that, and the next thing.
Mel Gibson....oy.
Harvey Weinstein...idk.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, let's flip the coin:

Winona Ryder shoplifts; and she's a friggin' pariah for a DECADE. Shoplifting, not physically abusing someone.

....lost my train of thought, there were ONE OR TWO other actress who had small infractions, who don't get to 'be bad' without MAJOR repercussions.

Current Talk '17 II / Pics of HAA
« on: November 13, 2017, 04:13:45 AM »
I'm currently watching near the end of 1968; HAA is helping Adam.

Does anyone have any pictures of HAA without the fake makeup & hair?

Thanks,

Patti

MB, are you saying someone? has made a documentary about the OS of 'DS'?

Do you know who (the producer and the studio or production company)?

You mentioned paying $7.99 month, is it an on-going streaming series?

Which service will air it?

Thanks,

Patti

Personally, if it's one of the GREATS, I post it on FB & Twitter.

TOMORROW, THURSDAY ON ABC, "IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN".

See, that's note worthy.

I mean, yeah, Cabin Fever, Cabin in the Woods, all the Saw movies, P. C. & C. Lee. Hardly anyone (even my aged) cares if original ('31) "Dracula" or "Frankenstein" cares.

I know I've read about forum issues, but, I thought they were going to be 'fixed' by now.

I've cached out my cookies, and it's still that weird notice when you login.

(Don't get me wrong, I think it's past the time when it was a new photo or whatev.)
[citrouille]......new one!!

I had never seen AHS on TV until Roanoke, am watching Cult currently.

I didn't notice the actress on Death House.

I really enjoy her!

Quote from: bustle.com
If Beverly does turn out to be a member of the titular cult, that begs the question: is pretty much everyone other than Ally in on the murderous shenanigans? Or does the paranoid wife and mother just think everyone's in on it, and it will all turn out to be have been in her head all along?

Well, as we saw last Tues, Ivy knows  [hall2_tongue] that **tch [hall2_angry] [hall2_angry] Winter prior to when we thought they met.

So, I've said cable will par down, if not totally go a separate way.

Now though, we do the Flix; my daughter is currently doing a free month of Hulu. Now, instead of which premium chanels, it'll be which streaming service [hall2_rolleyes]

I'll have to try a free month....please post which month this ep will air, thanks.
