So, it seems that even in DS land...we have anonymous voting. (Is this correct?)

God Bless America!

Are we still talking about 'women' (other thread)...or, mad chien (mad dogs!!) ::) sorry.. ;D

My daughter (who's not in tip-top shape) actually looks good in sleeveless (not dresses...I don't believe they make jumper-type sleeveless dresses anymore).

Today's montage: 2nd to bottom row, next to  :'( Liz lying unconscious...

Joe looks like he's laughing, but Julia looks very concerned.

What's this about?

Thanks,

Been alot on the news about the DNC in  :-* Boston :-* (mostly from NY news I watch, and probably because next month is the Rep. Nat'l Conv.).

Anyway, they inevitable interview the local 'big cheeses' about the security measures.

If I'm not mistaken, both the Mayor of Boston and the Police Commissioner are women :o

I seriously was thinking how Joshua would've reacted to that news :o (Boston being the main city of Joshua & Naomi's day). Of course, women didn't get the right to vote for quite some time...but...

"Outrageous!!!"...."These women should be flogged"!!

Now....let's hear what Reverend Trask might say... ;D

PS...couldn't you picture Naomi secretly being very glad and cheering her sisters on!!!!

Current Talk '04 II / The Frankensteins Meet the Collinses
« on: July 23, 2004, 12:44:20 PM »
On TCM last night was the original "Frankenstein". I know it may not be everyone's 'true to life/book fav', but I love it.

While watching it, made some observations:

After the monster knocks down Dr. F, his fiance Elizabeth ::) comforts him....her mannerism reminded me so much of Carolyln's (specifically, when Carolyn's hair is flattened down). Yes, I realize I probably wanted to see this, but still....

Karloff really plays the monster well...he was gawky like anyone, put together piece meal would be. He reminded me of an adolescent.

During the wedding...it reminded me alot of the Collins' way:

Give the peasants a little party and expect undying gratitude...the Frankensteins, like their American counterparts 'owned the town/burg/villlage.

Just some thoughts....have a good weekend,

Patti

Barnabas was never a handsome leading man. He was a 215-year-old with bad skin. They wanted more Interview With a Vampire. We wanted Dark Shadows."

I think too they are forgetting Dark Shadows was and is a SOAP OPERA.

Think daily....think LIVE!!

Think of some of the bloopers you've seen on other soaps; no editing time, and hey, that lending to fun & charm.

I think of an episode of All My children like more than 20 years ago where Brooke in a huff, is walking away from whomever she was fighting with. There was a metal cabinet and she walked right into it!!! You couldn't help feel bad for her but, again, no editing...and hey...I still remember that all these years later.

Dark Shadows 90210...yup...sounds right.

'Cept Maine aint no wheres like California.

i havn't seen the leviathan story yet(although i hear it's really dumb).does mr.patrick still speak with that brouge(sp.)?does his character interact with willie at all?

Dumb overall (IMHO), but there's some good parts.

Inexplicable, but great.

Watch for Julia VERSUS Barnabas....

presto-chango kids

And get some hankies ready towards the end (poor Kitten).

Opulent

That's not exactly a word I associate with "Frankenstein".

(I like the old 1930's grainy films.)

Thanks MB...of course, I don't have Hallmark.

BTW...I had mentioned on a different post/board about me having two SoapChannels (although they simultaneous show same shows).

I had thought this was just a 'digital' thing, but on my other tvs (I only have digital box on 1 TV), the add'l SoapChannel is there....so "Call Your Local Cable Provider" (oysh...sorry, I just know there's a few people w/out Soap and we want DS!!!)
