Yesterday (Fri) on OLTL, Michael (who used to be a vampire on another ABC soap ;D )
was holding a press conference from
PLAINFIELD, NJ

(that's where I was born!)

For this afternoon, every time I try to get on, it's just not happening.

Is our Mysterious Benefactor doing something? Or is it my firewall?

Stefan...I think any 'Dracula' type roll (not necessarily any 'vampire') is a sexual-type being.

I'm glad you mentioned J. Frid's classical training; I was going to mention that. He's quite well trained; and I believe he tried to be meticulous without being hammy.

I tend to wonder if Mr. Frid had anything to do with 'Barnabas' being so self-absorbed.

Anyone ever heard anything about that?

Current Talk '04 I / New DS Format
« on: February 17, 2004, 12:34:24 AM »
Do you think the (HOPEFULLY!) new DS would be a traditional 1 hour show, or a serial-type show? Tune in next week to see if Anne leaves Quentin waiting at the altar.... sorry, I couldn't resist  :-*

And....does anyone/everyone think it will be an hour? (Most but not all shows now-a-days are an hour, but there's some successful 30 minute pieces.)

I wonder because I've recently caught a few eps of Dallas and Dynasty on Soap; perhaps a 1/2 hour serial would be a good start.

(Remember when all soaps were a half hour...then they went to 45! minutes briefly before the now shown hour?)

What do you think would work?

I was just perusing imdb, and I see in addition to 'Surviving Christmas' (which thanks to MsCryside we've been alerted to a new David Selby pic), I also see a film in post-production titled Shadow of Fear.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0378306/

That link should take you to it.

It doesn't list release date....but oh oh...yummy!!

But that Lance whatsit, the omnipresent 70s kid, is just vomitous. Seeing his face used to make me want to go kick an inanimate object several times.

lolololol

Lance Kerwin (goes with Leif Garrett, Clark Brandon and Willie Ames).

So, there's nothing on tv today; there's a tape my father-in-law had taped/mailed me a few mos. ago, I said, why not.

When I opened the package....HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS!!

I believe I've seen parts of it once; didn't really remember it.

First...the beginning...sensory overload!!

You hear the 'regular' music, and you see TLATKLS, but....it's in a 'different' place....aaahhh!!! (Beautiful set.)

Not too long in it, I genuinely thought of our Mysterious Benefactor; when he was a lad seeing this in the movie theatre, did he have to waste his 50 cents on a bag of popcorn (I'm presuming that when he saw Jeff Clark with Maggie, he must've hurled!!!  [puke]

Let's see...WHERE WAS MRS JOHNSON??? >:( faux housekeeper...yuck!

At the end, I watched the credits...uh, somehow I missed seeing Terry Crawford. I did see HAA and Jerry Lacy (yeah!!)

I hope this has been terribly, terribly edited through the years, cause, uh, well, I've seen better. You'd be meeting Barn for the first time, poof! next scene, Carolyn is saying, "Shouldn't the guest of honor be ready for his party?" Okay, I guess we're giving long lost cuz a howdy-dowdy party???

I have vague memories of Carolyn, David playing handball in 'the old swimming pool'. (Funny, I don't remember a swimming pool, yet alot of good fan-fic mentions it.) I also remember Barn turning old, but these are the only parts I remember.

Still, it was cool to see.

It was great; a DS movie, lots of Valentine's chocolate, hey, how cool 8).

When I first woke up, I was going through the tv channels (older tv, no remote :-  ) and I saw Karen Black then later TLATKLS in what I ass-u-me was a F. Scott Fitzgerald thing; Bruce Dern smacked Karen Black in the nose.

Anyway...nice to see TLATKLS first thing in the a.m.!

PS...Happy Valentine's Day :-*

Friday 13th was not a happy day for me at all!  Opening the paper that morning on the train to work I learned that my favorite actor, Gregory Peck, had just passed away.  My sad exclamation must have been heard from one end of the car to the other!  :'(

Gregory Peck one who seemingly had it all - talent, gorgeous looks, a voice to die for and life lived with the woman who was a soul mate.  More importantly, he seemed to be a genuinely good person virtually unaffected by the legendary status he had attained in Hollywood.  There was nothing of the primadonna about him.

He will be missed!  :'(

Sorry to do this here, but I'm trying to learn how to quote/copy from one thread to another; and it's same topic.

Okay, what didn't I do right?
