The Sanditon cast IN REAL LIFE:

I didn't even realize that Esther Denham is in The Sandition - but then, I also have no idea who she was in the Depp/DS film...

"she had a small role in Les Misérables in 2011 and Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp in 2012."

I did a little research which is more than the person who wrote the article did. Esther Denham is not an actress. That is the name of a character in The Sandition. The actress is Charlotte Spencer and she played the coat check girl who has a brief romp with Roger in the 2012 film.

I wondered why the name Esther Denham wasn't listed on the film's IMDb page. Now I know... Thanks for tracking things down, Uncle Roger!  [ghost_smiley]

As for the mistake, well, sadly, it's just par for the course for too many Internet writers...

I found it quite fascinating to learn today, thanks to an alert about the CW's DS script deal, that apparently there's a thriving online community of fanfiction based on the Depp/DS film. Who knew?

Not a surprise this article focuses on the Depp/DS film. But considering that the '70s films came much earlier, it's a shame they don't even get a passing mention. And it's not like some of the other shows don't mention that there are multiple films based on them...
