One site that offers this film for streaming summarizes it as: "Rich playboy Barnabas earns the wrath of Angelique, a witch, when he breaks her heart. She turns him into a vampire and buries him alive." What's interesting with that is all the parts that depicted Barnabas as a playboy ended up on the cutting room floor...

I've definitely seen the still of Barnabas bent down and checking the pavement of the road, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen this one of him standing:
