Depp/Burton DARK SHADOWS Is In Release!!

Interesting that up until recently, the last film that got him out of his house to see a film in a theater was the Depp/DS film:

When one reads the article, it's mentioned that they supplied props to the Depp/DS film.

Apparently the Depp/DS film will be shown in Australia on October 13th:

But what's most interesting about the listing is that it says the film runs 135 mins instead of the 113 mins we're all familiar with. We should probably presume that's simply a mistake. Or perhaps there are 22 minutes of commercials during the showing (I have no idea if 9Go! is a commercial or cable network). But it would be fascinating if they were getting some sort of an extended cut similar to what ABC often does when it shows many Disney and Harry Potter films...

I would think commercials would be the most likely explanation.

It dawned on me to track down online if the network is commercial or cable, and it's commercial. In fact, its Wikipedia page explains exactly what we need to know:

'Movies screen with "limited and brief commercial breaks".'

So, as suspected, that explains the extra 22 minutes.

It's still odd, though, that they list the time for the films they run with the commercials added rather than listing a film's own running time. Networks here in the US always list a film's own running time no matter how long the time period may last for showing it. But, of course, Australia is not here...
