Stills associated with Scene 208:

First up, this one -

(Click here for a 1039X800 version)
16 Spec Magazine caption: "While fleeing from the horrors of the house, Tracy runs straight into
the evil arms of Gerard - who has murder on his mind! Does he succeed?
Does Angelique succeed in ruining Quentin's life? See Night of Dark
Shadows
- and find out the truth!!"

- which first shared as part of an article in 16 Spec Magazine - it's also part of the Mexican Lobby Card series -

(Click here for a 700X527 version)

- and while it was still active on the Internet, Collinwood.net shared this extremely rare version -

Cut from The CBS Late Movie showing:
  • ...
  • Picking up exactly where things left off with Quentin and Alex, the cut also eliminates Gerard's truck driving down the road and parking, along with the shot of Gerard's bloodied face. Things pick up in the CBS version fractions of a second before Tracy screams as she tries to get out of the truck but Gerard stops her.

Like I said, apparently there was only so much bloodied face they were willing to show. And chances are the truck driving and parking went because they were already cutting most of Quentin and Alex, so they simply continued the cut until just before Tracy tried to get out of the truck. Removing the truck driving and parking most probably also helped what needed to be cut for time...

And lastly, before we move on to the next quotes, here's how recently covered material currently plays in the film -

- but footage has been cut from the 97 minute version (and the 129 minute version). I don't have the video, but thanks to the audio tape, I do have the audio, so first up -

- when things go to black what should be seen is that after Gerard violently shushes Tracy, she sits still. He whispers to her that if she doesn't yell he'll let her go (though all of that isn't discernible on the audio tape). He then reaches his hand down and "touches" her leg.

And second up -

- after we see Quentin come to a stop in his search from Tracy, things move back to the truck where we should see Gerard take his hand from Tracy's mouth. She quivers as he looks at her. He then moves closer and kisses her. (Unfortunately none of that is really discernible on the tape because all we really hear is the sounds of the crickets and some breathing - but it does give a good idea of how long the cut footage lasts.) However, Tracy decides to use the kiss as a distraction and when the current footage comes back into play we see Tracy stroke Gerard's cheek but it's only a ploy to move her hand so as to be able to reach the Truck's horn and push it.

If you want to learn about or refresh your memory concerning the background of yesterday's first quote -

Page 98/Scene 211 - Quentin (calling): 'Tracy!...Tracy...where are you?'

- and/or yesterday's second quote -

Page 98/Scene 211 - Tracy (screaming): 'Quentin!'

- check out -

Picking up the action with the next scene in the sequence:

- this post and to learn about the differences in the dialogue, the descriptions and the directions and about a note in DC's script...

Two stills associated with Scene 211:

First up, the Lobby Card that I'd previously shared -

...

...

- and then here's an extremely rare alternate version of that still -

(Click here for a 700X476 version)

- which I actually prefer - but they didn't consult me when they chose which version to use for the Lobby Card.  [ghost_nowink]
