Dark Shadows: New Audio Dramas from Big Finish

Thought I'd mention that Big Finish now has info and cover art posted for January's audio play The Final Judgement starring Lara Parker and Kathryn Leigh Scott as Angelique and Josette.

I saw that! It loooks like a classic grudge match, and the art looks fantastic!  It gives me something to look forward to after the holidays.

Final Judgement is a POWERFUL story! I have to admit I thought the trial angle was a bit hokey at first, but it worked out very well. If you're a fan of both characters, you're in for a treat. This one breaks the tradition of having a major and minor reader. Both parts are roughly equal in time and focus. It was great to hear Josette come to "life" again. Ok we did get a one two word cameo on another release, but aside from that it's good to have her back after forty years or so. 

David Selby and Lara Parker were back in studio this weekend, recording the new series of Dark Shadows full-cast audio dramas, Kingdom of the Dead. Just received from Big Finish: cover art to Dark Shadows: Blood Dance. It's scheduled for April release and will be available for pre-order shortly.



"Blood Dance is written by returning author Stephen Mark Rainey, and features Quentin in prohibition-era Chicago, plunged into a supernatural mystery at the shady Arcadia Club. 'We learn about a chapter of Quentin’s life never revealed in the show itself,' says Rainey. Kingdom of the Dead, the new Dark Shadows full-cast series, is now available for pre-order as individual releases and a special four-disc box set.

What's the difference between buying the boxed set and the indiviual releases? Do boxed set purchasers get them earlier than the rest, or are they sent out after all the indivual releases have been mailed out? Are there any bonuses in the boxed set? I'm inclined to go the set option, assuming we get them all at once. The Big Finish site has a July release date for that, but I don't want to assume anything. I want to avoid misunderstandings. I've waited a long time for this series and I want to get them ASAP. Oh, another question, is the downlooad option the same for the boxed set as for the individual releases?
