Dark Shadows: New Audio Dramas from Big Finish

Big Finish Productions are to release a series of four all-new Dark Shadows audio dramas.  Each CD contains a complete story in three episodes, starring David Selby, Lara Parker, Kathryn Leigh Scott and John Karlen.  The first two stories, "The House of Despair" and "The Book of Temptation" are due out in September, with a second pair of CDs released in November.

Hi DSReborn and Sunny_ Collins.  I've already ordered all four of them and can't wait till they start to come in.    It would be great if Barnabas (Jonathan Frid) was there too.  Oh well.....

Terry308, I'm with you there.  Jonathan Frid still has such an elegant and expressive speaking voice.  He'd sound great in these and might be able to record at a studio near his home so he wouldn't have to travel far.  Hey, you never know, maybe if they do more of these he'll join in.

We will be offering subscriptions at the Festival, allowing fans to purchase the CDs and still receive the pre-order discount.  There's more information on the website.

Also, is the only form of payment the darkshadowsreborn accepts is by credit card? No money orders? 

Big Finish are not able to accept money orders, because of bank processing costs.  However, the CDs will be on sale at the Dark Shadows Festival, where you could pay in cash.

I sure hope that the cast will be more diverse than just Selby/Scott/Karlen/Parker.  Who else should be available?  Jerry Lacy, James Storm, Nancy Barrett, Marie Wallace, Chris Pennock, Diana Millay, Roger Davis (with his vast voiceover experience, he may be of invaluable help to the Big Finish folk!), Donna Wandrey, Terry Crawford, Robert Rodan, Kate Jackson and others.  I like the addition of Daphne Ashbrook, Jamison Selby and Ursula Burton, giving 'new blood' to the DS universe.  Also, may I suggest getting big names from the worlds of daytime and primetime to lure 'outsiders'?  After all, the casting of movie icon Joan Bennet as Liz Stoddard helped get DS off the ground in the first place!

He does have a wonderful speaking voice, I just love listening to him! If he joined in, that would be so great!!!!!

So what's this dude's problem? His voice and presence would add so much more to the show. Everybody wants to hear from him. He maintains a website, some of which he devotes to his DS stardom. He encourages DS fans to participate on his website. So why doesn't he devote a smidge of his talent to the DS CD projes=ct? That's what I'd like to know.
