Optical effects has been added to the list.  Next is Q.  :)

Obtuse and obelisk should be coming up for you in Ctrl+F.  (I think either † or ÷ is an obelus.)

Q is for Quietus: a finishing stroke, or kaput-maker.  A rare achievement on Dark Shadows, but Barnabas managed it with Jason McGuire.

X is for Xeres - another word for Sherry

Hmmm - are you sure it's not Mistress Xeres den of feline elegance that you're really into (the site happens to come up as the second featured listing in a Google search for Xeres) and not the sherry?  ;D  And perhaps you're even trying to imply that the Collinses were into BDSM.  [b003]

Xeres has already been used, sorry.

Which is why I was trying to give her an out by asking if she really meant Mistress Xeres.  [wink2]  But I suppose we'll just have to ask for another X word. Oh, well...

X is for Generation X - a lot of these youngsters would run home after school just to watch Dark Shadows.

(Wiktionary - The generation of people born after baby boom that followed World War II, especially those born in the 1960s and 1970s.)
