O is for Opulent - deluxe: rich and superior in quality - which is how the Collins family lived.

P is for Peruse - to read; examine carefully.  Julia did a lot of that - most notably, when she was studying Dr. Lang's notes for the experiment that brought Adam to life.  [book_study]

T is for Telephone Booth - which was in the hotel lobby, just outside of the coffee shop.

The word "Uncle" was specifically highlighted in the "Cousin, Uncle Jeremiah" entry, so it has already been used as a U word. We need another U word because we can't really treat Uncle, Uncle Roger, Uncle Quentin, Uncle Carl, etc as separate entries for Uncle.  ;)

OK, then...  I've got another one for you!  [winkg]

U is for Umbrage - Resentment; anger.  Barnabas certainly showed his umbrage when he first came on the show! [shkdg]

X is for

Xenobiotic:  a chemical compound (as a drug, pesticide, or carcinogen) that is foreign to a living organism.

Julia's anti-vampirism serum could be classified as a xenobiotic.

Y is for Yap - to talk inanely (silly; pointless).  Other people often considered Carl Collins to be yapping. [winkg]

Z is for zapatos, the shoes Julia (HOO-li-a) wore on "Sombras Tenebrosas".

Nice try. Excellent try, actually.  [thumb]  And I hate to be a stickler, BUT the game shouldn't really contain foreign language words simply because DS was dubbed into those languages (where would that end?!  :o). There should really be a specific line of dialogue that contained that word so that it could have been translated/dubbed - and even that would be pushing things.  ;)

I can't recall any instances in which Julia mentions her shoes, but I may just be forgetting - so IF someone CAN cite a scene in which Julia's dialogue specifically mentions her shoes, we'll accept zapatos. Or even if they can cite a scene in which ANY character mentions their shoes, we'll accept the word - though with one very important caveat: the scene has to have been a part of the syndicated episodes (Ep #210 - Ep #1007). (I can think of a scene from Ep #1070 in which Carrie mentions Gabriel's shoes, but, unfortunately, that episode was never shown in syndication in any country.  :() And this will be the one and only time we'll accept a foreign language word unless, as I pointed out when French words came up, the word was specifically used on the show. For example, any French word that appeared in a line of Natalie's, Josette's or Angelique's dialogue.

If no one can come up with a specific show reference, then we're going to need a new Z word, so please do not post an A word and beyond until after Z has been approved...
