THANK Midnite for the link!  I tried to find that but I had no idea where to look among thousands of posts.  Ah. Patrick was on Dallas?  I don't remember that. Cool.

X is for xertz - to gulp down something quickly. I'm sure there were many people on DS who would xertz a drink at one time or another.

Y is for yestreen - yesterday evening; last evening; during yesterday evening. There were lots of scenes on DS when people talked about something happening yestreen. 

[spoiler]An example was when David locked Vicki in the room in the closed-off section of the house. The next day, at different times, Roger, Elizabeth, Carolyn and Vicki all spoke of it. The word yestreen could be used this way in a sentence: "Yestreen, David locked Vicki in the room."  [/spoiler]

Z is for zonesthesia - the feeling of wearing a tight girdle. I bet there were many actresses on DS who complained of zonesthesia!

C is for Claret Cup, a drink which early Barnabas (well, maybe not so early Barnabas) offers at his dress party @ the old house.

B is for bones [spoiler] like the ones that David and Amy discovered in Quentin's room and later buried. [/spoiler]

D is for deranged - insane. There were several characters on DS who were deranged at one time or another.

E is for endings.... i.e., happy ones, though all too few, they DID occur on the show such as for [spoiler] Bramwell and Catherine, Kendrick and Melanie, Quentin and Daphne, Desmond and Leticia.

F = Fried
[spoiler]This happened to a body during the experiment. There was just bones left. Or when Angelique got burned up, or Roxanne with the sun.[/spoiler]

G is for garret - That part of a house which is on the upper floor, immediately under or within the roof; an attic. I believe there was a garret at Collinwood.

H is for horses. There were horses in Night of Dark Shadows. Also, even though there were never any horses seen on DS, you could hear them arriving and leaving during the 1795/96, 1840/41, and 1897 storylines.
