And finally we wrap up with a screen cap and some video of the model:

That last frame showing is actually of a set. As you may have noticed in the opening video (posted in reply #230), at one point in the movie a tree limb comes crashing through a window, and gee, I wonder why Greystone didn't look kindly upon the production doing that through one of the mansion's actual windows?  [ghost_wink]

It was interesting after seeing all of these to notice in today's (yesterday's, Tuesday the 23rd) paper that it was Barbara Eden's birthday and she's 91.

What a coincidence. Thanks for sharing the info, Josette.  [ghost_smiley]

If the people at Greystone didn't like the branch breaking a window, I wonder how they felt about the fire inside the house in the schlock classic Picture Mommy Dead. Or perhaps that was done on a set.

You may recall that back in December of 2020 I discovered this commercial on one of my Sci-Fi Channel tapes:

...

And the second commercial that I discovered ran on 03-05-96, Lara promoting the '96 30th Anniversary Fest:

...

Well, apparently not to be outdone by Lara Parker, while I was checking my Sci-Fi recording of Ep #618 for a post in the "Must" topic, I discovered that the following '96 30th Anniversary Fest commercial featuring KLS ran during that ep on 06-18-96:

You will no doubt recall this 1996 ad for the DS Trading Card Set that the Fest offered for $17.95 -

...

And while we're on the subject of these sorts of ads, I was quite surprised to see this one come up during the second ep on August 7th:

Back in February of 1995 we were told in SG that the supply of those cards was "depleted."* Though, of course, after that they miraculously showed up for sale by the Fest in their November of 1995 mailing. And now in August of 1996 apparently even more miraculously they're STILL for sale through the Fest. Somewhere along the way the definition of "depleted" must have been changed in regard to the cards. The meaning of "limited time only" may have also been changed considering that ad first ran on Sci-Fi back in 1994 when the cards first came out...

*(Though keep in mind that SG reports what it's told - if something turns out to be otherwise, well, that's the source's error...)

- well, I was more than quite surprised when I was checking out one of my Sci-Fi tapes from June of 1997 (for something that didn't pan out) and discovered this version of the ad that ran during the second DS ep on June 4th:

Now, the original selling price of the cards at $19.95 had already been discounted to $17.95 back when that first ad for them ran on Sci-Fi. But Whoa! What a difference 10 months makes as we discover that by June of 1997, not only had the price been reduced to $11.95, but people could get 2 sets for $1.00 less than the discounted price of $17.95!!

It will definitely be interesting when I get the chance to get back to sharing things from SG to see what it had to say, if anything, about the dramatic price decrease...

And the dulcet voice of Jim Pierson made everyone want to run right out and buy a set. Or two.

 [pointing-up]  Indeed!!  [ghost_wink]

However, who in the world got the idea in 1995 that the stock was depleted?! Quite obviously the first price cut to $17.95 didn't even deplete it to the point that two years later they were so anxious to dump what was left that they made such a drastic price drop and cut the original $19.95 by almost half and even more if someone bought two sets!!

The thing is, though, that it's not like the set was junk - I haven't looked at it in years, but I remember the photos being quite nice, and I also remember there being a few that at the time I had never seen before...

Back when we'd featured a quote from Ep #868 I'd wanted to check out a part of that ep to see if anything had been edited out but I orgot to do so at the time. I remembered today but discovered that the same edit appears on all the versions I have, so apparently it was one of those rare edits that was actually done at the time of production. However, as I always do, I went through my entire Sci-Fi VHS tape that contains Ep #868 and discovered the following ad for the Fest's 1997 Calendar ran during the second DS ep on December 20th:

And even thought the photos shown in the ad were nothing new to most fans, I was quite happily surprised that when I received my copy of the calendar it actually featured several rare photos that I'd never seen before. And just having glanced over the calendar for the first time in years I think it's the case that a few of the photos have never been shared elsewhere...

And BTW, the calendar was called the TIME TRAVEL TRIVIA CALENDAR and the trivia for October 25th was "In 1795, Eve meets Peter but he rejects her love." And the photo for October was a color photo of Jonathan Frid, Louis Edmonds, Grayson Hall and Humbert Allen Astredo relaxing on the Collinwood drawing room set. Surprisingly, it doesn't look like Grayson is smoking, but Frid is while he has he script open on the table in front of him.
