One I can add, at the end of the 1840/41 storyline Quentin rescues Daphne from the locked bedroom and he MOUNTS her right away and sends her to the bed - they showed this and that was one of those late 60's/early 70's Cut-Away Assume they're doing it deals, just like lovers would kiss in front of a fireplace and then fall to the floor and the camera would pan the fireplace.

My, oh my, how in the WORLD did I miss this? Just reading about it, makes me....well, let's just say it is a good thing I am "master of my domain!" (Or a bad thing dependant on your perspective!)

Here's what I saw: Barney lays down on the gurney/table/whatever in his silken jammies and robe. Quite the comfy patient, thank you very much.

Look over at Adam, he has layers of ill fitting clothing, and boots (or clunky shoes?) on!

Can't you just see Lang, humming along to the music "dooo duh dooo, duh dodododoooo, sew Mr. Left Leg on, yes indeedy. Put sock on Mr. Left Foot! Now, heeeeeeeere's your boooot!"

Great point, hooked! And to tell you the truth I never ever thought about doing just that. I probably won't still, but now, at least I have THOUGHT about it. Teehee....  ;)

Let me guess, does your brother a WWF fan?   >:( I honestly think there is a lot to what Gerard said. It seems like stupid people just can't get the depth that there is to DS. I'll admit that we may read more into it than was originally there, but to watch it and just say "Stupid show, bad acting" seems the height of doltishness.

Oh, no, don't do that!!!! Seems rather sacrireligious somehow. I admit that there are moments that I don't pay a great deal of attention. You know, it is funny the dream curse isn't bothering me as much this time around. YET.  :P

You're right. We last saw him rifling through the desk looking like he was "up to no good" as his mother would say. Big buildup for a long pause in THAT story....

Well, I won't comment on nostrils, but she certainly does have beautiful eyes! Great shots, thanks!

Interesting. Grayson Hall screams and plays it extreme and we clap and cheer. Addison Powell does it and we groan, and feel ill. Maybe it is because Julia knows when to play it straight. Maybe being a woman makes it more fun. I find Lang VERY hard to watch. I can't help but think that he would have been a misery to work with. Maybe that is just because I don't know a thing about acting on a soap, but it sure looks like a painful experience! It hurts me just to watch it....don't know whether to [uzi] or [puke].

Willie is being wily!  ;D I don't know if ALL of his act at Wyndcliff was false, it seems like he wouldn't be able to maintain it for so long. But, he definately knew more than he was letting on....AND there was another side that he was smart enough to keep hidden.

Personally, I think that crazy, scary side was the reemergence of his old, more threatening self. Without being in Barney's power, maybe he is in the position to recreate his own nature?

Oh, I thought I remembered Roger spanking him, but it was probably off screen. I think David suffers from the ignoring version of negligence and then the reaction when he finally pushes it too far. Let's face it, the lack of attention and love he was raised with could have created a true sociopath (and that was exactly how he started). At least he had his Aunt Elizabeth for some nurturing, though.

Unfortunately, I have enough experience with behavioral problems to say that it wouldn't have mattered if he had been spanked or not. What would have helped is a mother that loved him and didn't leave his life and a father who didn't hate him. When Roger finally did love him, he became more of a brat, rather than the attachment disorder you see early on.  How nice that on tv it is so quickly resolved....

But, perhaps my favorite film would have been Lang & Clark in "Hold That Doppelganger!"

What a classic that never was. After that there wasn't "Langed and Clarked", "Frolic on the Bus" and their more serious turn "Lang and Clark meet King Lear".
Predictably, that put an end to it, as they were considered box office poison from then on....

Gerard, you have an incredible memory. And you are obviously, at least as old as me! What was the show with Johnny Blue? Was that Big Valley? And I loved Top Cat.

The kids all still trick or treat here in my part of Kansas City.

Well, he did tell Carolyn to back off, didn't he? Course, he had sicced her on to Julia in the first place, so I don't know if that counts. Personally, I loved how the return to modern time recapped that drama with Carolyn and Julia, and yet wrapped it up so quickly.
