I particularly liked one where she was either saying the line about the sheriff thinking the vampire has left the community, or about their likelihood of complete success in the treatment.

It was probably this one:

hoDS: Scene #187 - Julia: 'It would be pointless now
anyway. We must wait until we achieve total success.'

Grayson managed to look almost like a schoolgirl about to be taken out for a treat at that moment.

That's the quality I tried to capture. 

And of course you know how much I love the one of Julia hovering in romantic rhapsody over the music box...

That's a great moment in the movie:

If only the actors had been allowed to play out the denouement with some degree of tragic subtlety.  Instead, we got DC's dream of becoming the Sam Peckinpah of the horror set.

That was certainly his mindset, alas...

The really interesting thing about today's quote from cut Scene #193:  Willie - 'He's going to do the same thing to Maggie he did to Carolyn. He's going to make her a vampire!' is that Barnabas actually had no intention of turning Maggie into a vampire. Barn wanted to marry Maggie and have them live a completely human existence. But then, back in Scene #189 Willie made it clear that he wanted to completely ignore the dramatic changes in Barn, so it's not like Willie could have been paying very close attention to what was actually going on...

The quote on the calendar for today for Scene #199 is longer that what appears in the the film, the script, and even the novel: Stokes - 'Why did you do it? You're a doctor. You have a responsibility to humanity!'

I've been waiting and waiting for the scene where Stokes says, "My, God, Julia, you're in love with him!"

Today's capture from hoDS is brilliant, and beautifullly counterpoints the capture from the show, with Alexis telling Hoffman that they're engaged in a war of nerves--one of my favorite scenes for the vicious verve with which Grayson bites off the line, "I HATE having to take orders from her!

I love the naked outrage in Julia's eyes when Stokes leaves her room in that scene in hoDS...this is one lady you DON'T want to cross.

Grayson and Thayer are on fire together in this scene.  If only, if only, the rest of the movie had been on this level.  I do look forward to the movie being released on disc precisely for this scene and a few other moments, such as the Old House sequence with Julia confronting Barnabas, Grayson and Thayer's kitchen/lab scene, the costume ball etc.

The interesting thing about today's quote from Scene #201 is that both on the calendar and in the script it appears as: Barnabas - 'I feel as though I'm beginning life all over again -- and you're responsible for that feeling.' I honestly think it works better the way Frid delivered it in the film: Barnabas - 'I feel like I'm beginning a whole new life -- and you're responsible for that life.'  Changing 'feeling' to 'life' makes his statement more powerful.

A memorable shot indeed, although the shot just before Barnabas enters the room of Julia smoking, having spent herself in rage and frustration, completely exhausted emotionally, was even more unforgettable.
