Her baby boy (Adam--yes, Adam!) was born on DS' 2nd anniversary, June 27th, 1968, both facts which make me smile.

You mean.....we are LESS than two years into the show? I have a hard time grasping the time concept when we watch two shows to the original one. But it seems like we've been watching a long time since we saw the first one.

And I had been thinking differently than everyone else (what's new?), other than the phone grab, I was thinking time travel had mushed the Vickster's brain even more than usual! I don't blame her for wanting to bail. I hate to see a character change to the point of not being realistic, but a possession theme would have worked. Or even better, I would have loved to see A.M. play Roxanne or Crazy Jenny. I can't even say whether she would have been any good, since we never saw any range in Vicky. But I am assuming that was not HER fault.

I tried to find out, but the website info is rather skimpy. I understand the first episode is Barnabas coming out of the coffin. With forty episodes on the set, where does that make it end with?

that day I was howling with RAGE because I forgot to set the timer on the VCR! [bawl] Oh well, I'm still working on getting on with my life. [sure]

I do remember the show though and it IS funny. As is Carolyn's response. She and Barney could hardly be very closely related, and they did look like more than typical relatives! It is funny too, that Barney was supposed to be a younger man in 1795 than he is in current time. Uhhh, vampires don't age do they?

Thanks for the warning and the invitation to enjoy them as they should be taken. I'm afraid that I may have missed the sidesplitting humor without you and not known whether to laugh or cry! [lghy] [bawl]

Current Talk '02 I / Re: What Vicki Does or Doesn't Know
« on: May 03, 2002, 02:45:08 AM »
I wondered about that too. But it seems that Millicent covered that base by telling Vicky that Barney was alive. Gullible Vicky never questioned that source, it seems. I seem to remember Barney explaining that Angelique was his mother to Vicky, but I don't remember when he said that. (And I sometimes mis-remember anyway, what was  I just talking about?) It seems like Vicky would have recalled Angelique being dead, but continuity is never a strong point and she is a dim bulb at best anyway.

They also explained something that I had forgotten from the last time around. That Vicky and Phyliss Wicke had traded places and that everything Barney remembered as happening to Wicke, happened to Vicky. I kept thinking that Barney would have remembered Vicky from his past, instead he was terrified to see Wicke for her moments in the present time.

I like it, quite daring for the time. I especially appreciate that they actually acknowledged it at least twice in the show. More often you see someone look totally different and no comments whatsover.

Crazy is right! Though from comments here, I think more than one person might crash their car if Roger Davis appeared on the roadside waving at them! Though perhaps it would be more of a hit and run type accident.

Ummmm, Barney has been shot with an arrow and shot with a gun,  it took him only moments to completely recover. One little itsy-bitsy car crash and he is completely laid up and unconscious? Puhleeze.

Well, sticking to my own gender seems reasonable. But, the females are not usually an interesting bunch. I would love to be Julia, and after that Samantha Collins. Both are complex enough to be intriguing and not helpless victims.

Did you send me an email w/attachment? I am more than a little paranoid! Given all the problems, I've been deleting most that I don't expect.

I love Beth Chavez, she can work in my mansion. Along with Willie, maybe they would finally find happiness together and marry. Mrs. Johnson could be in charge to keep them on their toes. I hope Beth can cook, it seems like I've heard some things against Mrs. Johnson's cooking on the show? Or am I mis-remembering again?

Thanks, for solving one mystery for me, I have not been able to recall Mrs. Johnson's first name for ages. I wasn't even sure if she had one.

I might be wrong, it sure wouldn't be unusual, but it looked to me like Microsoft didn't have a more current download of Outlook Express than the 5.5 version I have.

Is there any security feature with 5.5? How would I implement it? Or is there a newer version?

OK, we're all here to play "Who Can Be As Stupid As Vicky and Daniel?"

No need to even recount the MANY ways that Vicky got the show named after her! And Daniel, well, telling Nathan Forbes that he has all Millicent's money was just the BEGINNING! Nothing like making an enemy and then telling the enemy exactly what you will do against him! Now, Daniel does telling Nathan that you plan to ask Naomi to adopt you sound familiar?

But here comes our first contestant, it's PETEEERRRRR BRADFORD. (Yay, rah, go for it Peter!)

Peter, you definately earned your spot when you decided that it would be a good idea to have Vicky use being from the future as a trial defense!

Peter: "Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time."

AND NOW, who's our next contestant????

I don't think that the change in Nathan rings true. But a villain was needed. I think he would have been more as he was at the trial and with Trask, weak and greedy, but still wanting to be liked and outwardly personable.

Still, I'll bet that Joel Crothers enjoyed the range of this role as opposed to always a good guy, boring Joe. [sleep]

Current Talk '02 I / taping....grrrr....
« on: April 23, 2002, 04:37:42 AM »
They had a non scheduled showing of The Apartment so I decided to make a keeper tape and set the VCR for SP. Couldn't check the time, but figured it wouldn't be over two hours. Right. The tape ended, I'm guessing five minutes from the end. AGHHH!
