Midnite, many thanks for posting these beautiful captures! Looking at them with your witty captions is a lot more fun than watching the actual episode. As it happens, I no longer have cable, so I missed seeing this.
Roddy MacDowell was such a gifted actor, I found it painful to see him reduced to parading about in a monkey suit delivering tosh. But it did pay the bills. Ever see his Sixties Golem film? It's worth it just for Roddy's inspired scenery chewing. One I have been trying to track down for years is the Ava Gardner cult film, Tam Lin, which Roddy *directed*. I've heard it's very arty and interesting.
Of course, back in the Seventies, I could not foresee just how awful television would become a quarter century later. Compared to the fare on offer now, this stuff looks pretty good. At least it's entertaining.
