DS May Be Coming to Soapnet For Real

according to Stuart's UK DS page, a very reliable source, DC is negotiating to put DS on Soapnet in 2004.

This is GREAT news. Soapnet makes a big deal out of every show they air They'll do marathons, specials, interviews, and create a buzz around it through promotions. Soapnet is now home to reruns of the other vampire soap, Port Charles, so the two shows could make a great double bill.

In three years since it began, Sopnet has gobe from 7 million homes to nearly 30 million. It's growing fast. Anyone with Dish Network or Direct TV
can get it now.

They hope to launch Soap 2 in a few years, which would be a TV Land styled channel for older, classic shows. I see a permanent home for DS here.
If the WB DS flies, we could see a major DS revival in the coming year!

Write to Soapnet now and request DS!

And while you're at it....all of you with Cable systems that don't HAVE SoapNet....start bombarding them with requests for it.

It's the only way it's ever going to happen....let them know there's an audience out there for it, and they'll look into adding it to their line-up.  But first they have to know what you want!!

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for local systems to pick up Soapnet, even though many have.
A lot of the local systems take their time about these things. Best to get Dish Network and Direct TV, who carry Soapnet and just about everything else!

I'm a little confused, because when I went to find their address, I believe Soapnet is owned by Buena Vista, which is Disney's parent company..... ???

The  South Buena Vista address is what's given out for Soapnet in Stuart's UK DS sight, Collinwood.net
