Secret Closet?
« on: April 30, 2003, 06:09:45 PM »
With all the different coats, handbags, shoes, gloves and changes in dress style since coming back from 1897. . .does Julia have a hidden closet?  There is no way all her crap can possible fit into that armoire in her bedroom.  [rollr][rollr]. . I'm sure Elizabeth is thinking, "I guess she's here to stay. . ."

Perhaps the armoire is actually a wardrobe from the Narnia Furniture Collection.  As I recall, they are quite roomy... ::)

BTW, wouldn't it have been great to see an episode devoted to Julia on a shopping spree, hopping from boutique to boutiqe, trying on all the latest fashions that Collinsport has to offer?  And, of course, Chris Jennings would have been right behind her, carrying all her purchases.  ;D

Regards,

John

Oh yes, John, I definitely want to see Julia's shopping spree. One of my favorite sequences in Satan in High Heels is the infamous "montage" clip where Grayson takes Missy out for her fashion makeover.  There are some hilarious, all too brief shots of Grayson in one of those early Sixties Paris knockoff hats with the huge wavy brim and a jacket with this big elaborate gilt fob hanging off one side puffing on her endless cigarette holder appraising her gal in the latest ensemble.  And all played to jazzy beat coffeehouse style music. FABULOUS!

I can just see Julia as they return to Collinwood:  "Chris, darling, it's so hot in here.  Don't you want to take your shirt off now???"

Thanks for the link. As many times as I've seen my favorite Grayson flick it's always nice to see another reminder of a priceless character.

Just wait until 1995, when Julia wears the same outfit, day in, day out for two weeks.  Some dry cleaner, when she returns to 1970, is going to clean up big time.

John, doll, YOU ARE A GOD!

thankyouthankyouthankyou for that FABOU link.

You and I are SO on the same page about The Divine One.  One of the oldtime fans recalled on one occasion that her Dad also worshipped at the Shrine of Grayson and used to say:  "There's God the Father, God the Son, and Grayson Hall ... and the first two better watch Their Step!" (my apologies if this offends any individuals in the audience)

That's cute Gothick!

Also, am I the only one that noticed how much nicer Grayson's facial make-up has been lately?  (I think Luciaphil had mentioned this in her Idle Thoughts post)  Whatever make-up they're using is definetely doing her justice because she looks great.
