Kate Jackson in Charlie's Angels.  I was sixteen when that show premiered.  I enjoyed all the actresses in that show but especially Kate because I remembered her from Dark Shadows.  I remember thinking she was so-ooooo beautiful on Dark Shadows, I was probably 10-11 years old at the time.

My absolute favorite Thayer David appearances are in The Wild Wild West series.  After one character was involved in the theft of a samurai sword, TD was brought back a year later to play a thief that preyed on Mexican villagers (in the guise of Cortez!).  His villains were awesome; it's almost hard to believe this is the same guy that played Ben.

I loved Wild, Wild West, but I don't remember ever seeing the Thayer David episodes. Something else to look forward to--thanks for the head's up!

Dennis Patrick - "Joe," "All In the Family"

Oh! Oh! Oh! (raising hands furiously) Mr. Kotter! Mr. Kotter!

I just remembered a classic episode of Lost in Space starring Dennis Patrick as the Golden Man, Mr. Keemo. That was a stand-out episode of that series.

BTW Midnite: I love your new sig file!!! Anya is my favorite character. I can't wait to see what happens now that she has her powers back. Bunnies beware!

Carol, I should've realized you were taping JK's various appearances.  Duh!  (Right about now I could use a smiley that slaps itself upside the head.)...

His Hill Street Blues episode aired yesterday, but it should again in the near future and with Kosmo's help I can let alert you to it a few days in advance.  Johnny is only in one scene but he's great, as always.

I've never been able to catch the Hill Street Blues episode so if you could give the heads up when it comes on again, I'd most appreciate it.

I of course remember Mr. Patrick as one of J.R.'s bad bad friends on Dallas.  .

I've been slowly taping John Karlen's guest star roles from Murder, She Wrote, Perry Mason, The Walton's and my latest was an ebay auction of the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries from 1977 where he played a boxer named "Rocky".  He acts just like "Willie"--if he had finally escaped Barnabas and had his own life. He's so damn cute in it.  :-*

I also have his Daughters of Darkness, MacShayne: Winner Takes All, The Dark Wind, BabyCakes, Daddy, and several others.

Carol,

I told DS fan/pop culture expert Kosmo about your project, and he let me know that Karlen's Rockford Files appearance will air on TVLand on Sunday nite/Monday morning at 1 a.m. ET.

I admire your efforts (have a pretty good David Selby video collection myself ;)), but wonder if you're taping all of his Cagney & Lacey and Mad About You eps too? :o  If so, my hat is definitely off to you!

Yep...just give Carol a bottle of wine and some Karlen tapes, and she's happy.

I stand in awe, Carol.....I don't have any of the Cagney and Lacey episodes, though I watched every one of them.....don't think we even owned a VCR when they were on.

Worst of all, I've never seen ANY of his Mad About You performances.  I find Helen what's-her-face so unbearable to watch I simply never saw a single episode of that show.  He played somebody's father, didn't he?

I vaguely remember watching Cagney & Lacey but for the life of me, do not remember JK! Isn't that awful?! It wasn't until I got involved in DS again and Lifetime Channel started running Cagney & Lacey episodes that I watched and saw him.

:o WHAT?! John Karlen was on Mad About You? I used to watch that show regularly until they had the baby and then dumped the actors who played Helen's parents in order to bring Carroll O'Connor and Carol Burnett on.

I wasn't watching DS at the time, and wouldn't have recognized Karlen anyway. I don't think he was her dad though, was he? What part did he play?
