I can just see the scene:  A romantic, moonlit night over the cottage.  Jeff answers the door to find the lovely Maggie, dressed seductively in that Lands End floral print, flannel quilt dress (which, by the way, all of you across America will be able to purchase at your local Sears Roebuck Store this fall).  Maggie blushes as she first lays her eyes on the handsome Jeff, sporting that rakish, earth tone sports coat and she tries to explain that she saw Jeff in her dream.

A puzzled, but delighted Jeff invites Maggie to tell him all about her dream. He offers her a drink as they both sit down on the sofa.  Jeff pops an 8-track tape into his stereo system and the throaty, sultry sound of Bonnie Raitt's voice begins to sing "Let's Give Them Something To Talk About."

Maggie begins to relate her dream to Jeff as if she's experiencing some sensuous reverie.  And, Jeff...  Well, you get the idea.  I don't have to paint a picture for you, do I?

Well, you  ALMOST got it right. But, the song was "Love to Love You, Baby"!  I mean,  you can imagine how seductive Disco Jeff would think that would be!

As for Vickie,  I don't know if she even knows what could happen! Can't you just see her "Peter, get your hands off Josette this minute!"

And I already had a lovely dress almost like that, thank you very much.....

I'll admit some legal steps were seemingly avoided,  but Willie was obviously insane when they put him in. And in the sixties-seventies, it was not unusual for someone to be pronounced not guilty by reason of insanity. Then when they are "sane" again, let go. You could see the backlash from that in the Yates verdict.

Didn't the sheriff profess to doubts that Willie was the person? I know not everyone was convinced. It seems like Barney does take some flak consistently over Willie being back, but probably not as much as he would in real life. The real life that a recovering vampire could have.....

I suspect that you are indeed hinting at something that is way over my head.  ?!?

If lies could kill Angelique, she would be a goner. And Nicholas Blair along with his alter egos, was pretty far gone too. Barney will tell a lie to further his cause, but the Angie would lie when the truth would serve her better.

Have any of you ever dreamed you went somewhere stark naked and nobody notices.

Or dreamed of going to a class for an exam and don't even remember even taking the course.

Recurring dreams:

The naked dream, but always managed to hide myself before anyone saw me.

Had a recurring dream for YEARS in which I was back in high school as an adult. Had to go back and finish it (again, I DID graduate). Yecchhh, my version of hell. Oh, and never could remember my locker number.

As a kid I had several that I was in a moving driverless car and didn't know how to drive.

My teeth all fall out. I HATE that one. Now, I'm getting to an age it could be prophetic.

Trapped in a house of evil. Nothing that bad ever happens, I just know it is going to.

Current Talk '02 I / Wooohoooo, Willie!

It just wasn't the same without him. I had forgotten that Willie was no longer under Barney's spell by this point in the show. I loved how Barney seems to have forgotten taking the cane to him....oh, and developing a conscience! Julia, God love her, had the perfect reaction.

Karlen's performance was absolutely dead on. He is a wonderful actor. I never watched Cagney and Lacey, so didn't even know he was on it until I became a more involved DS fan. Today's first show was one of the really great ones. Love the team of Barney, Willie and Julia. Her letting herself in the old house without knocking seems to say volumes about their present relationship.

What is the worst one you ever had? As a young adult I had this one. I was riding with my friend Grant in his old Galaxy, as we often did in reality. We were going through a neighborhood and started seeing dead bodies laying in the yards and on the sidewalks. We kept going and there were more and more. I vividly remember a child on a tricycle that was tipped over. Finally, the bodies were so many and in the street that we couldn't drive anymore. As we were sitting there bemused, (not horrified, as you would think) a person I recognized walked up and said "Do you know Grant? Tell him they are all DEAD."  I woke up.

The main thing I remember is the clarity and detail, it was like a movie. I had not seen Night of the Living Dead yet, or any movie that looked like that, and this dream was definately in color.

Sociology.....that was a required course at my university and a catch-all, "What the hell?" course of study if I ever saw one!!

Love and hate are virtually indistinguishable in our gal Angie! BTW, do you think she and Barney ever consummated their marriage?  :o

Hmmm. I would say lover-boy Roger, but I think he and I would do much better on his home turf. Can't imagine him in my little house!

I can only think of the time that Barney was ringing some one's door bell and my son sighed and said "I wish Barnabas would come visit US!"

btw the episodes were NOT always taped in broadcast order.

How interesting, that would have never occurred to me. I realize of course, that movies scenes are rarely filmed chronologically. But I wouldn't have thought they had that much lee way time with DS. Did they do it live once or twice?

Dr. Lang: " Do you want her to marry this young man and live a life of unending joy?

Ummm, I think we can safely conclude that Lang is a lifelong bachelor!

Hate to be too cynical, but methinks even those who are married much more successfully than I was would hardly describe it in that way.

Didn't you just love the tone in Doc Hoffman's voice when Barney told her that he had called her there to save Jeff's life. "You di-id?" ("Oh Barney, you're my HERO!") He was actually being most gallant with her too. Would more thrilling if it wasn't such a case of don't want her, don't want to lose her.

583
Oh, please is right! She is trying to arouse Julia's heart in a different direction. A more noble friend might do it to steer someone they loved from someone not very good for them. I hardly think that is Angelique's motivation. Though you do have to give her points for subtlety, when she could just zap her with a spell or get her out of the picture completely!

Here I go again, having to agree with everyone. Sometimes, you just gotta.

It is odd, Jonathon Frid was really not what I would call a handsome man. He had interesting features, not so great skin and in DS, a really weird hairstyle. And yet, he made me swoon then and now! To change his face would be insane, I tell you....
