Chloe Moretz to speak at Democratic convention

The time hasn't been posted but Chloe Moretz tweeted she will be speaking Thursday at the Democratic National Convention. Pretty impressive for a 19 year old.

I would say. It's quite impressive!    And to have a slot on the final night of a convention is even more impressive!!

Even James Corden of CBS' The Late Late Show just mentioned she'll be speaking at the convention.

I could see the ethereal Carolyn Stoddard-Hawks as a delegate at the Democratic Presidential Convention and the unfailingly hidebound Roger Collins as a delegate at the Republican Presidential Convention.

No specific time posted but it looks like Chloe will speak this evening between 9 and 10 pm.

Well, I'd say there's no question about her being popular or well respected.

I've seen the complete schedule - naturally one can't know if they will be on time.  Just before 10 Katy Perry is to perform, followed by 10 Chelsea introducing Hillary.  Chloe is 3 speakers before that, so you can sort of guess at the approximate time.

There's a whole lineup of speakers, many governors, mayors, senators etc. from around 4:30 throughout out the night - so it's amazing that she is not only speaking, but has such a late and prominent time.

Got home from work in time to catch Chloe and WOW did she do a great job. She kept it brief, inspirational and encouraging voter registration. More speakers needed to follow her style talking rather than shouting or bellowing (like the retired General on prior to her.) Awesome....

We never got to see any local politicians on DS during its run.  Did Collinsport have a mayor and town council?

Back in 1968, it would have been cool to see some of that year's presidential candidates making campaign stops in Collinsport, like Hubert Humphrey, Richard Nixon or Eugene McCarthy.

Can you imagine any of those candidates knocking on the front door of the Old House, and asking either Barnabas or Willie for their support?

I could certainly see Maggie becoming a US senator, but Maggie on heroin?  Talk about a Dark Shadows "infamita"!

What's next, David Collins becoming a drug lord?  Oy vey!

The Collinsport Chronicles had some very weird but well written stories. It's been awhile since I've read them but a few elements still stand out. Megan Todd was running a vampire detective agency. Willie apparently had staked her in the stomach, not the heart. Carolyn had become a very bitter woman. She thought that she had found a last chance at happiness with Adam, only to have him dump her and run off with Elizabeth. Then there was the unusual hook up between Barnabas and Sheriff Patterson.

A lot of these stories have been posted in the Dark Shadows section in  fanfiction.net where Adriana is known as Maryland Rose.
