Well, Luciaphil, you saved me from having to type my answers.  My awarding would've been the exact same!

(They may have had supporting roles, but I think that they were the most talented people in the cast.)
Best Actor: Thayer David
Best Actress: Nancy Barrett

Best Supporting Actor: (tie) John Karlen, Jerry Lacy
Best Supporting Actress: Marie Wallace (Jenny Collins)
Best Costume: Any of Joan Bennett's period dresses

I have to admit that I never really paid attention to the writers or directors, and the amazing scenes on the show are too numerous for any one to be 'the best.'

Great topic!

Now that I've been accused of being a yella-bellied coward ;) , here are my picks:

Best Actress: Joan Bennett
Best Actor: Louis Edmonds
Best Supporting Actress: Alexandra Moltke
Best Supporting Actor: John Karlen
Best Director: Lela Swift
Best Writer: Malcolm Marmorstein
Best Costume Design: Barnabas' getup with the cloak
Best Scene: Barnabas tells Carolyn and Vicki the story of Josette's death.

I just thought it would be nice, in keeping with the whole acadamy awards theme, to poll the forum and then hand out the official "Dark Shadows Forums Awards".  Ahh, what an honor that would be ::)

Actually,  I kind of like your idea-In order to keep it legit, the results needed to be collected by a third party. I did not want to impose a duty on someone. Perhaps Midnite would be willling to collect replys from those, who wish their selection to remain anonymous. I would be grateful because we would like a LARGE response in order to justify the results.
It is a good day because I am still ticking!

Sure, if anyone would prefer to not post their choices on the board, they can be sent to Midnite@dsboards.com .

Actually, anyone that wants to email me about the board is always welcome to do so.

Sam Evans and Burke Devlin go to Collinwood late at night to see Roger Collins, and the whole truth comes out about the car accident, in the presence of Elizabeth Stoddard, when they are all in the drawing room, and Roger is forced to confess that he was guilty of manslaughter, in front of all of them. Best Actress - Grayson Hall
Best Actor - Jonathan Frid
Best Supporting Actress -
Best Supporting Actor - Thayer David (like THAT is a surprise! He could even do a brilliant, older, heavier Barnabas--perhaps one cured from his "sickness." LOL.  ;))

Nice to see that I'm not on the only person on this board with an inflated view of Alexandra Motlke's acting abilities  :)

I think someone should sent the final results to ShadowGram. . .also, maybe for the DSFEST. . .in that way we might find a few of our issues from another post taken more seriously. . now I have to admit at being surprised how many of **you** voted for Grayson for Best Actress. . i thought it was only Steve, Bette and me. . .???  ;D ;D ;D
