I think there should be a secret ballot, and then we announce the winners.

I don't have a problem posting my opinions right here, so here goes:

Best Actress - Lara Parker
Best Actor - Jonathan Frid
Best Supporting Actress - Nancy Barrett
Best Supporting Actor - Thayer David
Best Director - Henry Kaplan
Best Writer - Sam Hall
Best Costume Design - Not sure
Best Scene - Barnabas shoots Angelique, she places the curse on him and the bat flies in and bites them, leaving both of them unconscious on the drawing room floor at the Old House.  The bat may have looked fake, but the scene itself was nevertheless riveting.

Love, Robin

How are you differentiating between Best Actor/Actress and Best Supporting?

The Supporting Actor/Actress compliments the Best Actor/Actress during their stellar performance. They are important because they enhance the others talent.

Maybe I should explain "Best Costume Design" for participants. It is not the designer but the costume or outfit worn by the actor or actress. You have the right idea Chris. Sorry for the confusion.

Too hard for my pointy little head.  That would mean making a decision.  I could change my mind per episode and mood.  The only one I could actually vote for would be a tie

John Karlen and Thayer David for supporting actor.

Have fun with it.

Still unclear about best actor/supporting, but since my choices did do leads in certain storylines, guess I'm covered.

Best Actress: Nancy Barrett
Best Actor:  Louis Edmonds
Best Supporting Actress: Clarice Blackburn
Best Supporting Actor: Thayer David
Best Director: Lela Swift
Best Writer: (Tie) Francis Swann and Violet Welles
Best Costume Design: Almost anything Joan Bennett wore with the exception of the swirly paisley dress and the cowl robe thing
Best Scene: Sorry, too hard to pin this down.

Hmmmmm, why isn't anyone specifying WHICH role, when awarding the Acting Oscars?  I mean, was Thayer David better as the Professor, or as Ben?  Was Julia Hoffman a leading role for Grayson Hall, but the Countess DuPre a Supporting role?

Could it be because, except for the Advanced Scholars among us, remembering ALL the roles EACH of them played is like trying to count waves on the shore?

Just out of curiousity, can anyone name another show where so many actors played as many multiple roles?  (Skit-based shows like Saturday Night Live don't count!)
