DVD Collection Price
« on: December 14, 2003, 02:18:45 PM »
Just thought I'd pass along some info.  I was doing some Christmas shopping online at deepdiscountdvd.com.
Out of curiosity I typed in Dark Shadows and found that they're selling the DVD Collections at $43.19 - and shipping is free.  Don't think I've heard of a better deal.
Yes?  No?

As wonderful as the news is that Saddam has been caught and as much as many among us may have the need to share and/or applaud it, I'd ask that we please not discuss the topic here on the forum. There are many forums specifically designed to deal with news events, and I'd ask that if you feel the need to express your happiness, please do so on one of those.

Thanks  :)

I've been ordering from DeepDiscount. So far, so good. Pretty quick delivery and they have some sweet deals on a lot of other films and TV shows.

Dom and I appreciate that our members feel a sense of community here and want to share their personal news, good or bad, but we have to ask that everyone PLEASE have mercy on their hosts by keeping off-topic posting to a minimum.  If it has nothing to do with any aspect of DS, then it's OT.  Thanks!!

Digitaleyes.net is also a great source for very low cost but brand new DVDs. Average DS DVD volume there is $40.

Classic Hammer films sell there for an average of $10 less than in stores.

Here's a few more places to check out...  8)
The Best Buy stores here in the mid-Atlantic tend to put the newest release of the boxes on sale for about $42-$43 when they first arrive. The "catalog" or older boxes go for about $52. This is still less than Tower or Borders, the latter of which has taken to locking some of their boxes behind the counter. DVDplanet.com is also very competitive to Amazon's and their stock is often better.

The upcoming Dark Shadows Set #10 is $41.99 at CD Universe, with $5.99 shipping (3-7 days). At amazon.com, the same set is $50.98 with free shipping available.

I would go with CD-U but I've found a cd I want at amazon that's $4 dollars cheaper than at CD Universe. Gotta love price comparison checking on the net.
