You know, I have a 9/11 thought.
Yes, it was
terrible, awful. I know someone who died
But, I actually want to say something else.
You know what I want to hold on to?
Our friends across the pond.
I will never forget how P.M. Blair came right over here; didn't just pick up the phone; came and was truly our ally.
Then, there's the wonderful, wonderful people who raised alot of money for the victims; people like Paul McCartney, Pete Townsend/Roger Daltry (who'd thunk we'd see THEM together again, but for US, they did); Eric Clapton....they could've just mailed a check, but no, they truly loved.
Also, I hadn't heard about this at the time, but recently watching a PBS special about Queen Elizabeth, I hear she had the guard play "The Star Spangled Banner" like the next day during a memorial. Considering that's sort of about the 'colonies' revolting against England, that showed impressive love and style on her majesty's part.
Anyhow, the people of Great Britain will always be remembered by me as a part of the 9/11; thank you our friends.
