Sample of DS theme

Dear fans, a friend emailed me this track by "King Geedorah featuring Mf. Doom," I presume they are rap/hip-hop artists.  He sent it to me because the song features the original DS title theme prominently samped throughout the short song.   The track name seems to be "The final hours":

OK. 

That has to be one of the most bizarre uses of DS in a song to date. I can't say I think the DS theme music works with the rhythm of the rap - but it's always interesting whenever DS comes up in any way in a song.

Don't ask me.  Just reporting the story here.  I don't personally listen to this kind of music.

I did think it was very cute that my buddy heard it in a store and thought of me.

When it comes to rap, and a familiar tune is used in the background, I tend to have this particular problem:  I don't listen to ANYTHING except that tune.  There was one rap song someone had me listen to that had "Love Story" in the background.  I heard nothing except "Love Story."  The same thing happened here.  I heard nothing but the Dark Shadows theme.  Everything else got tuned out.  I don't know if that says more about me or the artists...  I appreciate the fact that I got to hear the tune again, though.  :-)
