« on: August 14, 2002, 08:35:06 AM »
My GOD! who was picking Lara Parkers wardrobe. . what were they trying to say?? Angelique the vamp needs to be a bit more vampy. . .the white angelic thing would work if it was a bit more fitted. . the ruffled necklines, uck! How did Marie Wallace rate the sexy black nightie and Lara got her Granny's clothes?

Luciaphil and I have had a bit of a thing going on this subject going back to the last time it was shown.  She hates the white gown and I love it! :)

LOL!  Ya know this is the second time around now that I've been watching these episodes,  but before that I couldn't remember a thing about Angelique being a vampire, except that she was always in that white dress!!
It seems like she and Julia always get the short end of the stick when it comes to fashion, although as Cassandra, Lara Parker did manage to have a somewhat more diversified wardrobe.

Although Marie Wallace did have a more flattering dress, I don't think she faired all that well either since this is the only dress that she gets to wear throughout this whole storyline. ;)

Mine is another "yes" vote for the white dress.  I love Ang in the black velvet the other day, too, when she tried to "seduce" the young policeman.

Love, Robin

Isn't that a question at times we could ask about anyone on the show?

I suspect that Angelique's white vampire get-up was a welcome relief from the sleeveless Ohrbach's creations that Cassandra wore endlessly! :)

Touche VAM!

Now the white dress was a good concept but the actual execution of the dress .. she's fitted from neck to ankle.  .she's showing less skin than Julia.. . .Parkers NODS white dress. . now that was nice although she wore the bustier from Hell i'm sure. . she wasn't all that ummm .. endowed.

See, I liked the wardrobe she had as Cassandra.  Nice variety of clothes.  The colors and cuts flattered her most of the time.  She looked good, I thought.  The wig . . . okay, the wig was just evil, scary, bad.

Her outfits as the vampire just blow chunks.  They're all those quasi-cocktail/hostess gown things.  I think the concept was to build off of what the vampire chicks in the Universal Horror films wore, but c'mon, already.  Barnabas wears suits.  She couldn't have some nice ordinary clothes?

I don't think they flatter her (that one ruffled creation was just putrid) although her hair looks quite nice.  But I can count on one hand the times that the hair and the clothes were good.

Eve's black dress is flattering, but poor Marie Wallace got to spend a lot of time in it, seeing as how it's the only outfit Eve gets.

I think Nicky Blair punished Vampy Angelique by making her go to the old Blue Light Specials at K-Mart.

Just the five :)

In 1795, she had to wear that doily on her head half the time.  She did look great in her first wedding dress (that would be one of the five).
Her hair as Cassandra was ghastly, although the clothes were great.
As 1897, she had like two dresses, one of them poison green and the other that purple and rose bib thing, but the hair was good.
I vaguely remember her "hip" clothes as Angelique,ex-fashion model, but I don't retain fond memories of them.
I refuse to think about 1970PT until I absolutely have to.
And do we really have to go into 1840PT? because everybody  had the worst hair and some scary, scary clothes.

I know you're a big LP fan; this is not a criticism of her, understand, merely the costume and hair people who apparently could never get their act together.

::)I like Angelique's in white. White is supposed to be for purity and goodness, and she is so opposite those traits.  Eve's black fits her personality so much better!
Afan who hopes that my name comes out in pink.
Afan Afan  Yeah!
it did! ;D
Where are they getting these bodies, Mulder,  are they making them?

I think Angelique's bed clothes might very well be Victoria's darkest and scariest Secret... :)

Yes, I am another one in favor of Angelique's white dress. I also liked some of her clothes as Cassandra. My favorite one was the long, different colored dress with the long black sweater coat. I want that outfit.  :)
