Bad, evil, wicked DS fans! Yes, gracious... due to your overwhelming support, I have found myself unable to avoid writing another chapter in Labyrinth of Souls. I've got a couple of projects with my agent that I'm waiting to hear back on, and another possibility down the pike... so in the interim, thinks I, what better way to keep the writing going than with a bit more DS?

So, to punish you people for your impertinence, I have posted CHAPTER 4 at:

http://home.triad.rr.com/smrainey/labyrinth04.htm

Take that! And that!

Looks like just the thing to read on the airplane during a flight I'll be making soon (along with chapters 1 - 3).   :)  Could be a conversation starter.   ;D

Yikes! I just finished reading the new chapter!
I know not to say anything, but boy! I sure hope you don't leave us hanging here! Darn, I can't ask any
questions for fear of spoiling it for the others.
Excellant freaky chapter Mark  :o

Why am I reminded of the 'snake bite' joke? :o

Wanna hear about MY encounter with the Palace guards? [no sense of humor, at all! and very sensitive noses!]

This would be the 'gentle' 2002 version of a joke I think I first heard in about the 4th grade [1964, a very good year]

---

Two hetrosexual guys are camping in the desert.  One goes to 'releeeeve himself' [shall we say... ::)] over by some rocks, and gets bitten by a poisonous snake in a [shall we say....] very private, sensitive area [shall we say....].  :o He screams and runs back to tell his buddy what has happened.

The other says 'Don't worry, I have my ever-present cell phone, with no roaming charges, in my back pack, I'll call a doctor'.  The call is made, and the doctor explains to the un-bitten camper the urgent procedure for removing the venom:  'First you must put a tourniquet on the appendage, then make small cuts on the site of the snakebite, then you need to suck the poison from the wound.'

The unbitten camper presses 'end' and the wounded pal says, 'well, what did the doctor say?'

The newly educated, unbitten camper responds 'The doctor says .......you're gonna die.'

sorry if this was a 'bit' offensive [jester]

OOOOOOOOOO!!!! I could just SEE Julia waiting out in the hall scrambling to get between the brigade of Roger, Liz, Quentin, David, etc., bouncing excitedly up and down exclaiming, "Let me give her a seditive!!!" LOL just kidding ;) I liked! All about Carolyn! YAAY!!! I think Carolyn really is the smartest one in the entire show! Quoteth Carolyn~

Loved this latest chapter, Mark, very creepy and atmospheric.  Is this the return of Jeb, perhaps in another form?  Sounds like sci fi has met DS, and I'm enjoying every one of your words!
