Calcutta by Lawrence Welk.  Don't ask me why, because I don't know.

Whenever I hear the Theme from Dark Shadows, it instantly reminds me of Dark Shadows.   Don't ask me why, it just does.

I'm not above stealing another person's comedic premise.  I cannot be shamed.

Paul Buckmaster the orchestral arranger has as his sound the same cello/bass viol sound Robert Cobert did.   PB arranged the strings on early Elton John albums and did the Carly Simon record "Haven't Got Time For The Pain", as well as the 12 Monkeys soundtrack.

I don't know the Scissors Sisters except that they like Elton John, which is cool, and did a song with him, and I think a song of theirs may have been on a Dr Who last year.

Even before I made my video of it, Caramelldansen always gave me images of Carolyn at the Blue Whale.  [ghost_tongue2]

Did a large procession wave their torches as my head fell in the basket,
And was everybody dancing on the casket?

Good Lovin' by The Rascals reminds me of Quentin. Call it a whim.

"Brandy" by Looking Glass, with its seaport theme, has always reminded me of DS - the Blue Whale in particular.

Roland -- right with you on Brandy (even though in the song it's a western port).  [ghost_wink]

When HoDS and NoDS came to the theater as a double-feature in '73, Maggie May by Rod Stewart was on the charts. Though the lyrics themselves didn't have any connection with DS, well, there was, you know, Maggie... so... there it was.

Whenever I hear "These Boots are Made for Walkin", I invariably think of Carolyn in white go-go boots dancing at the Blue Whale!
The title theme song from VALLEY OF THE DOLLS always makes me think of Vicki Winters arriving in Collinsport on the train.
"Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics - I always flashback to the Dream Curse storyline.
Blondie's "One Way or Another" - my brain conjures up images of a werewolf chasing one of the DS ingenues through the forest surrounding Collinwood.

When I was working on DREAMS OF THE DARK, Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" from TITANIC was playing everywhere, all the time.

OMG   I did not know that you wrote that book. I just picked it up used...sorry no royalties...off amazon.  I just started it I am only at the beginning but it got me hooked from the first page. Can't wait to finish it.

"Careful What You Pack" by They Might Be Giants reminds me of DS. I get images of Barnabas constantly watching Vicki without her knowing.

I agree about "Brandy" by Looking Glass. That and "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay"
by Otis Redding always brings DS to mind for me.
2 other songs leap to mind now.
"Kiss From A Rose" by Seal and "Six Feet From The Edge" by Creed.
