kathryn leigh scott erroneously stated in one of her books that the only criterion for reciting the voicoever was that one didn't appear in the opening scene.
The really interesting thing, though, is how different certain actors' voices sounded while doing them - often very different from the characters they were portraying. It was enough to make one wonder at the time if we'd ever heard their real voices on DS.
joel crothers actually did read it once(which i can't recall).
