I was sitting around kind of pining over not being able to go to Chiller this weekend,  [hall_cry]   and linked to the following two interesting items from their website...

First, John Karlen's vampyre classic, "Daughters of Darkness" is due for yet another reissue, as usual expanded DVD features and such. It will retain the very amusing Karlen commentary which has several DS references...

I also tripped over to the Zacherley website, where I found a photo of Zach on stage with the great Thayer David, in the play "Labelle". The photo will enlarge when you click on it.

I'm bummed too, haven't been to a Chiller since '97, but had a BLAST!  Cute pic of Thayer!   [hall2_wink]

Blue Underground Video offers a new release of the bisexual vampire classic Daughters of Darkness (1971).
This John Karlen film was released twice on VHS and once before on disc.
This current release is complete & uncut, including graphic nudity with Karlen! (woof! he was HOT then!)
A Karlen commentary from the previous release remains intact.
There are also new  on~camera interviews with other cast members.
The disc also features the sensual 1971 Spanish vampire film The Blood Spattered Bride.

Also check out the box set: The Robert Altman Collection from Fox.
Included is Altman's 1978 film A Wedding, which features a wonderful, and large, supporting performance from Virginia Vestoff.
She's superb in a difficult role as a heroin addict.
This is one of only three films VV made before her tragic cancer related death at age 42.
