I know, and that's why I want it back.  The show has sophistication and intelligence- things sorely lacking in most of today's reality shows!

Well, so much for these so called soothsayers!  ABC has just announced it's bringing back "This Is Your Life"!  If only someone were to bring back "What's My Line?".......

It's available on DVD in two versions.  There's the official version by MGM/UA in widescreen, and a "public domain" DVD that's available under another title for as little as a dollar!

Don't say if the two feature films are released, it's WHEN!!!!!!  We don't need defeatism in the world of Dark Shadows.

Thank God it's going back to NYC for the 40th Anniversary.  As a Staten islander, the Brooklyn location is even more suitable than the Marrriot Marquis in Manhattan.

I hope that for the Anniversary, at least one of these DSF holdouts will finally show up:

Alexandra Moltke
David Henesy
Kate Jackson
Sam Hall
Dan Curtis

Hi there!  It's great to have another "cousin from England" in the world of Dark Shadows.  I do hope that DS is rebroadcast in England, and in exchange I want to see the new Doctor Who here Stateside.  BTW, Jon Pertwee's my favorite Doctor- reminds me a lot of Barnabas with his taste in suits and capes, plus DS was on the air when he became the Doctor in 1970!

To those who are in L.A. this weekend:  how about sharing any gossip/news from the Festival?  I'm sure that there are those like me who can't make it, but would love to hear ANY news in the DS world!!!!

The short in question is called "All Eyes on Sharon Tate".  It's a great fluff piece on Sharon as an up-and coming starlet, complete with her dancing the night away at a London disco with costar David Hemmings.  Odds are that TCM will show it just before or after "Eye of The Devil" is shown- I'll probably program my VCR 1/2 hour before and after the film is shown so I can see this fab short again.  One thing about Sharon's performance as Odile in "Eye" is that she has this haunting otherworldy quality that makes you believe that she realy could be a witch.  Also, she lowers her usual voice down an octave to a sinister mid-Altantic whisper.  Kinda like what happened to Joan Bennett when she went from blonde ingenue to brunette siren.

BTW, Deborah Kerr was a last-minute replacement for Kim Novak, who had been injured in an accident just before filming was to begin.

That, and seeing Sharon Tate in her first major role!!!!

I think 1948 is the most plausible year of Carolyn's birth.  Remember Carolyn's dream in the Dream Curse where she saw her own tombstone?  It had a December 1948 birthdate.  Also, we know that Paul walked out on Liz in 1949 as per both the Jason McGuire and Leviathan storylines.  Carolyn was an infant then, and to add insult to injury, Paul left in December 1949, just around Carolyn's first birthday.  Let's not forget that Paul wanted to take with him various stocks, bonds and other financial items that Liz had intended for Carolyn- a damn good reason for Liz to get very angry at her slimy husband- a rat who would walk out on his child on the eve of her first birthday and steal her inheritance as well!  That poker sure came in handy.......
