The only thing that matters is that Sam and Grayson are together again!

Wishing him a speedy recovery!

Great news- perhaps you can be inspired to write a book.  Just an idea.....

David, I think I know who you are talking about, and it's surprising considering she was only on for a few months, whereas Marie, Kathryn & Lara were on much longer.  Plus, the "mystery actress" has exposed herself as a right-winger.  I'm left of center myself, and to air out those opinions on Facebook is problematic to me personally.  Let's forget politics and concentrate on fun!

It's great that Agnes Nixon is on board as a consultant, but with OLTL I wish that Sam Hall would also be contacted regarding story ideas as he wrote for the show for roughly 15 years during its most highly rated era (circa mid '70s to mid 80s).  He may be in his 90s, but his mind is still sharp and he knows the more established characters quite well.

I don't get it- why all the venom against Kathryn?  The guilty parties should be ashamed of themselves- Kathryn was merely offering a service for longtime fans.  We in DS fandom should be so lucky that the show's stars try to please their fans, unlike certain other fandoms that charge an arm and a leg for the smallest thing.  BTW, I think the new KLS photo (by legendary photographer Douglas Kirkland- who took iconic photos of Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe) is great!

There hasn't been anything official in weeks from the Festival!  Who is actually going there as a guest star, aside from Kathryn, Lara, Marie, Jerry and possibly Kathy?  I'm surprised that Shadowgram hasn't given out any last minute news yet.

I usually take a cab after getting off the station.  Perhaps we can all "team up" and take a cab or two and split the cabfare to Lyndhurst!

Why isn't this on DVD yet?  A definite missed opportunity!

I met the Balds years ago at a Festival, and it's great they are still around!

Boy, do I feel vindicated- I just knew more stars would be comig to Tarrytown!  Marie Wallace and Jerry Lacy are coming, and apparently so is Kathleen Cody!

I just don't like the idea of pessimism in DS fandom.  I have been active in fandom for 28 years now, and I remember the struggles DS fans had in those days just to have local stations (and later PBS stations) air the episodes.  I also remember how warring factions nearly threatened to destroy DS fandoms as some of the early conventions (the Shadowcons) began to add non-DS events and stars while diminishing the importance of "Dark Shadows".  This led to the creation of the DS Festivals which above all is a celebration of ALL things DS, and it pains me to see anyone put down what took years to build.  There are many of us who do care- we are the ones who always attend plays or films featuring the DS actors, buy the various books that have been put out by various actors (novels, memoirs, and other non-fiction items).  If you don't want to go the July events, OK-but don't insult those of us who will be there and especially the DS actors who come out their own free will to meet the fans.  All I am asking is to show proper respect, especially as the whole DS community is mourning over Jonathan.

13
Why the negative attitude?  Are you sure you guys are fans?  If anything, I feel more stars will be added to the July event to help fill up the huge gap left by Jonathan's passing.  On the East Coast alone there's Marie Wallace, Donna Wandrey, Nancy Barrett, Sharon Smyth, Betsy Durkin, and Donna McKechnie.  Plus, there's even more stars out in California who have gone East before- who knows, maybe one or two will fly over just to pay tribute to Jonathan.

14
Why?  After all, the show (and life) must go on, and I feel Jonathan would agree.

Strange- I always thought he'd be he longer as his mother lived into her 90s.  Still, I am indeed heartbroken: Now I know what Skeeter Davis was singing about.......
