Wow!  I entered my hubby's name and got:

BARRY ROGET

Should I be afraid?

I'm sorry Midnite, but you have to kill him. After all, he is almost certainly the husband of the MOST EEEE-VILLL woman the world has ever known, and some of it HAD to rub off. You don't want to unleash him on the unsuspecting world do you?

When I was about 14, a friend and I got to tour the DS studio.  There were only a few stairs in the Old House basement, then nothing -- you had to jump off.   (And we did - a couple of times).  LOL
I think I also posted somewhere on here recently about there being nothing but a platform down the end of the upstairs hallway at Collinwood.  ("Hey - where are the bedrooms?")  It certainly made an impression when I was young.  Don't think I ever watched the show in quite the same way after that day.  What a bummer.  LOL

A bummer? Sounds like a major thrill to me! But I can understand at that age it wouldn't be as fun to have your illusion shattered. Still, I am WAY envious....

I have an EVEN better idea! Let's use the shoe to beat her over the head. Maybe it will knock some sense back into her!  :P

I'd even vote for the return of the blond wig if it would bring back sassy Maggy!

I remember when I was a kid and DARK SHADOWS came on, they could have had the cleaning crew write every episode and I'd have still tuned in eagerly. I sometimes wonder if, once the show developed its unmistakable mystique (and corresponding jump in ratings), the writers counted on people being hooked to the point of overlooking glaring problems (on and off camera). Hell, look at those of us who've sat through the series countless times and still do, regardless of how we feel about certain particular subplots, characters, etc.

I would be the first one to admit that, at age 11, I figured that DS could absolutely do no wrong. I imagine I was not the only one. ;)

No, I don't think so either! And yes, here I sit watching it over and over EVEN the parts like this storyline that drive me nutty! I get terribly upset if the VCR doesn't record.  I agree that the writing staff took advantage of that popularity and the charisma of the actors to skate with thin efforts. However, to be fair, I'm sure that EVERY other soap opera of the time was just as silly!

Current Talk '02 II / I think I have it figured out

The writers for several episodes now felt they were in need of a vacation. Dan Curtis didn't agree. So they paid the cleaning crew an extra $20 to sit down and whip out a few scripts. Cleaning people were happy to comply and noone ever caught on.

Let's see, Nicholas Blair DESPERATELY wants in on this creating a human action. So.....he picks the spirit of the most evil woman, one that he has NO control over whatsoever. Uh huh.

Barney and Julia do their little 2nd human life experiment. It goes EXACTLY as the 1st one was supposed to. They are completely mystified by this outcome and highly suspicious that Eve has her awareness and intelligence intact. Mmmmhmmmm.

Adam discovers that he is actually a reasonable, tolerant and loving person. (He and Julia even had a fleeting conversation like two people, did you catch it?) It only took dear Eve to bring it out in him! I do hope we have heard the last of him saying someone else is RE - SPAWNS - EEE - BULL for anything and everything that he himself has insisted on. (Is that TOO much to ask?)

The human "life force" seems to actually require a death force. It worked with Barney who was one of the living dead. So it worked differently than intended and Adam came out with the physical aspect of Superman and the mental knowledge/awareness of a big block of tofu. It didn't work with Carolyn at all, naturally enough with her being ALIVE and all. With completely dead old Leonard Eldridge it worked perfectly!

Hmmmm...I'm doing OK, but I really think Leona Eltridge needs a few hormone shots.  :D

You mean she isn't SUPPOSED to look like a drag queen?!

Willie's not irrational....please, next to Barnabas, Julia and Adam, he's the Voice of Reason!

He's just not quite smart enough to pull off what he knows needs to be done.

I have to agree with you 100%. I love the "half-witted kid" term that Karlen used to describe Willie. Though that doesn't give him credit for his loyalty and loving nature. I would call him a half-witted sweet kid. When he isn't taunting Adam with a chicken leg, naturally!

Man, I'm with you Brother Perankh! [uzi] I'm getting to where I want to break my tv at the sound of Adam's voice. And it is too bad when Rodan was such a hotty....

I dunno about the certs or if it would help. There doesn't appear to be a shower in the west wing and while he's only been in the new sweater a few days compared to the other one......Whew!

I HAVE to say that yesterday's episodes were excruciatingly bad. BUT, it was ALL made worth while to see the smirk Carolyn gave Barney at the end!!! [spin]

I think Adam needs a muscle relaxer.

Adam needs a lobotomy and if Julia isn't up to it, I will gladly volunteer my services!

Yesterday, when Adam was insisting they take the bandages off, Dr. Hoffman said that they would prevent scarring. "You don't want her to be scarred as you are, do you?" For once, even ADAM shut up.  :o

I know what you mean, Jennifer -- I was astounded :o when I heard the news he was quitting The West Wing...I guess he didn't pay attention to the career David Caruso *didn't* have for years after he left NYPD Blue.

I read that the powers behind West Wing were going to write Lowe out after the first year. It was publicly announced and Lowe was not happy at all. For some reason they changed their minds, but it doesn't sound like an ideal situation and Lowe probably tired of it. He has had a longstanding career with many highs and lows, so I'm sure he will go on in that same fashion and is used to that.

Actually, Adam and Barnabas are not so very different, are they?  Barnabas has the sophistocation that Adam sorely lacks (lol), but beyond that...

Well, let's see....they both have the maturity of a four y.o. when they don't get their way. Both of them react to anyone crossing them with immediate and perpetuating plans of homicide. They both love women who aren't going to return their love....Nah, they are nothing alike! [wink2]

I dunno, Maggie is so blitheringly idiotic right now, I can't take it. [vryangb] If she'd rather be dead than be hypnotised, fine - go ahead and kill her!

OK, I don't REALLY mean that guys, don't gather the lynching mob....

But, really, she is such a nutcase right now if she bit the head off a live chicken, I wouldn't be too surprised. Yeah, yeah, she's been locked up a while, but she was acting that way from the get go. [dsapg]
