I was thinking of Grayson off and on throughout the day yesterday, so it was gratifying to log on here and see this space--thank you again, Julia darling.

Underneath the colorful wardrobe (we all loved the Bulgarian peasant widow look, accessorized with leather bomber jacket),
Still missing that most fabulous of redheads....

Gothick

Gosh Steve are you talking "in general" here or is there a picture of Grayson in a peasant "look" with a bomber jacket?  I'd pay $$ to see that .. .

I'm so glad we all had a space to post our thoughts and reflections. . .I think Grayson would've thought we were absurd but I'm sure she would've enjoy a Cosmo with me and my pals last night as I made sure we all toasted her!

And thanks Midnite for making the picture available to post within the original message. ..

I agree that Julia was fairly career-obsessed when we first meet her but there are other things that lead me to believe she gave **romance** a try, including:
**her insatiable curiosity about EVERTHING (I mean the girl crawled through a window to find a vampire! You think she was going to let sex alude her!),
**the way she taunted & flirted with B at the beginning,
**Her need to **know** everything,
**Her eventual allusion to having made a "choice" between medicine and a more traditional life (e.g. marriage and children) and last but not least,
**She displays some rather **knowing** looks on occassion. . .

That all said. . i think she had a terribly uninspiring and  dissatisfying love life or lover.  .hence her dedication to medicine.  Whomever he was, he was humdrum dud not stud. . .

Dear Julia99,

Julia Hoffman and Dave Woodard, Harvard Medical School, circa 1952: Still waters run deep. (Or you can't judge a book by its cover.)

Bob the Bartender, avid Dear Abby reader

Bob LOL!  You think Julia killed her ex-boyfriend? I wonder why. . .::chuckles to self with suspected knowledge::  [jawdrp]

I do not think Julia was "unknown to man" per say but I'm not sure Dave was the one. . .

Why does Joan Bennett gets top billing and Alexandra Moltke gets bottom billing? ?!?

Its all determined by your clout, AFTRA credits, and how much you care etc. . .I think when Frid and Hall first came on.  .she got billed over him (theatrical pedigree and Oscar nom) but later he was bumped up (heart throb stud who saved the show you know). . .I think too its a lot of how much an actor cared. . Hepburn didn't care if Tracy was over her name although there was some arguement she had more "clout" at the time . . .I like to think my gal Grayson didn't care. . .

Quite interesting today what Adam said about love and Julia and her understated and almost disinterested responses. . .ironic that she actually said she knew more about **his kind** of love than any other types.  .. Didn't this girl ever get any?? Even back in high school or college?  No spin the bottle for Julia?

Okay I've asked in other forums but what about here .. how many think Julia is a virgin or NOT? State your reasons. . .

Gosh I notice Julia's stammer and touching her throat. . but hand wringing I've not noticed. . ..::runs to VCR:::

Elizabeth and Barnabas THEY are always wringing their hands. . that I have noticed. . or at least holding them politely in front of their waists and rubbing their fingers. . .

Current Talk '02 II / Re: Most disturbing DS moments
« on: August 03, 2002, 09:04:41 AM »
These are all truly horrific moments but the one I find most disturbing perhaps even more than the murder of Dr. Woodard is Barnabas's idiotic confession to Julia in 1840 that Angelique was his only true love.. .egads!

Okay. .think it, feel it but don't tell THIS PARTICULAR woman another stupid tale of your lost loves. . .she's just about HAD it with you . ..I know when Julia went back to 1971 she finally left his *ss. . . or went on some huge hedonistic romp in Europe.

I too prefer the longer hair (see left & below and Connie' pic above) so the wig wasn't such a problem for me.  .i can see why others would like Grayson's shorter doo but I think the fuller look brought out and highlighted in a flattering way her unique and exotically beautiful face. .the shorter do emphasize the severity too much. . .

 versus

okay so these pics aren't the best examples..the short do looks pretty good in this shot .. .ironically.

MB--can you make the 2nd picture smaller? why is it sooooo huge?
