What a riot!  Such an UP for the late afternoon.  .that bedspread outfit was hysterical. . i hope that wasn't filmed in the heat of a New York summer.  .  .

i like the idea of J with the Jennings boys living on some island or is that my dream! ;)

I think that might be more than a few of this forum's posters' dream. [wink2]

I suppose i fall easily into this category .. .look to your left. . .  But back to the issue of Barnabas loving Angelique. . i think i go with Steve here. . .he loved whomever he couldn't have.  And really, Sam Hall's storyline and my own near-obsessive love of Julia aside, B would've ended up with Julia. . sure he would've strayed the *ss and she would've injected him with something nasty but still .. . they would've ended up man and wife.

Lucia is right. . we'll forever get the train thing. ..::yawn::  DC and the rest of us should just move on . .fantasize in our heads but nothing will ever compare to the lovely memories we have of the show and the space it fills. . .and i really wouldn't want them to continue trying. . .And i can't see DC using original cast members. .a few were interested in the 91 Revival (mostly known  I guess is Parker wanted to play Dr Hoffman [frkoff] ) and he didn't go for it then. . .and that sorta ploy would've certainly pulled in a lot more viewers. . .??

Did Jeb really need to go through all that trouble ressurecting four dead bodies and then turn them into zombies just to kidnap little ole Julia
Cassandra

Maybe their afraid she had been watching Kung Fu or knew some new fangled Matrix-type moves. . .4 men against one 5'7" woman who weighs less than a stick . .. yeah yeah MACHO MEN or zombies as it were .. .

Well B did get his cumeuppance in the film ..take that and let the rest of it go. .  :-   Honestly, not one person on this show is an ethical, honorific character, they all have faults galore!  I know Lucia went on about Julia's fallings the other day -- she was pretty despicable at times but weren't they all and isn't that why we're still here debating a show that's been off the air for 30 years??? >:D

I also noticed how pale she's been looking lately, very tired or stressed out.

Cassandra

Steve--was she moonlighting during this period or something?   ???She quickly went from ultrachic extraordinaire with the drop waist dresses to the ugly suits now and longer hair. .getting ready for PT Hoffman's ponytale/bun thing?  Or was it cuz DC always preferred her hair longer?  He slapped a wig on her whenever he could it seems. . . :P

Current Talk '03 I / Worst Hair on DS?

Okay. . the departure of Sabrina's gray hair and the arrival of her short short wig begs the question ..who had the worse hair on DS?? My thoughts go to Sabrina of course, Bruno/Aristede, Petofi, Samantha's ringlettes weren't too hot, when Elizabeth wore the bow was bad-overall she had good hair. . other votes. .i know  I must be missing some significant bad hair days. .  :D

Barnabas has a habit of destroying the best moments. ..i mean the other day he's sitting with Julia before the fire, inches from her lips, confessing all his bad boyness and nada. . . that was such a mean setup for the writers/director to do. . .

On the Jump the Shark website, a lot of folks voted for the Leviathans as the moment DS Jumped. . if folks haven't read the posts there, they are quite funny and endearing. . i remember one guy writing about the New England lady doctor with the perfectly applied liquid eyeliner lighting her cigarette in a candle holder and that he was hooked from that moment. . . :D

Also, Gothick mentioned:
There were others as well who were ready to move on--I believe Jonathan Frid, Lela Swift and the Halls among them.

I remembering reading (or listening)  in a GH interview that a year after the show was off the air, Sam was getting nervous cuz Grayson wasn't working.  Her thought, "I have been working straight for nearly five years!" (which is really uncommon for a theatrical actor).

Of course I also think, gee Sam how ungrateful can ya be, she saved your ass. . .got a job for herself then got you a job. . so you didn't have to move to Ohio. . .lighten up!

I read that Henry Kissinger was quite the ladies man.  I remember back in the 70's he was linked to many beautiful and rich women.  However,  I don't find a fat, bespectacled man with a thick accent attractive but if Kissinger could pull it off so could Petofi.

Yes and it was Mr. Kissinger wasn't it who said POWER is the Ultimate Aphrodisiac

I'll vote although everyone is dead. .who would they interview?  And would they focus on the LaLiz-Burton hubbaluloo .. i can't spell.  I'd like someone, anyone to focus on the fact that Hall not Burton, not Kerr, not Gardner was nominated for an Oscar .. no one else but her . .although they were all very good.  No one mentions that in any of the movie writeups, pisses me off. . . :-

Hasn't Dan Curtis been talking about a NEW DS series ever since the end of the LAST DS series?  It's a sort of perennial rumor, isn't it?....showing up faithfully every year....like buds on an azalea plant?

True. . and love DS as I do.. i love the old one.. the 91 Revival Series had its moments but. . .Dan needs to move on. . .or try Kolchak, wait. .that was the X-files right, its redo?
